The final episode”jumped the shark” for me. I will not be back. WHy don’t writers/directors/ just leave well enough alone? This episode was SO contrived! DO you think anyone in charge ever says….”hey, wait a minutes…..”?
I was very upset when it dwas revealed that Zack was the apprentice. e have waited on him to come back from Iraq and was very glad to see him back it was like a part of the family being gone. U just couldn’t even image sweet Zack he makes Brennan and Hodgins who they are on the show . Couldn’t have been the new littlw man instead.
I enjpy the sow but not sure if I’ll be as excited to watch it in the upcoming season . I didn’t get into when ZACK ws gone. Let’s bring him back.
Ok, so I am little disappointed at the end of season 3, for me it makes no sense at all. As I watched through the season I was sure Gormagon was going to kill either Zach (for discovering his secret mirror/camera set up)or Sweets (just because writers tend to kill off characters I like) and I was shocked that the writers decieded to make Zack the apprentice. This is for a few reasons, firstly Zach is not a widows son, & also if he blew up his own hands & not Hodgins why would he allow Gormagorn to attempt to blow up Bones and Booth? (earlier episode) Also, why did they make a big thing about the fact he killed that guy, but didn’t eat him, it just smacks of double standards, “it’s ok, Zach’s a killer but not a cannibal” If this guy was able to convince Zack to kill why not munch on the guy too? But I admit I think Zach’s character had gone as far as he could, but I’d rather G had killed him than turned him into his apprentice. Looking forwards to more Sweets in Season 4 though
In Germany the episode was on air today, so this on is very fisrt imprssion:
I didn’t like it very much. It was kind of extreme. Zach being a killer, after chasing after all these murderers? I think he should left the show after the Iraq, he could gone through some changes and return in season 5 or whatever. Now he will be never “Our” Zach again.
I’m half way through the finale and can’t figure out WHAT THEY WERE THINKING with this horrible script – it was idiotic to change these characters after such a successful run. It makes no sense whatsoever. If they run one more like this next season they lose me as a watcher. Whoever thought of this should be gotten ride of immediately.
Extremely disappointing season finale, and quite inconsistent with the charater development of Zack. Unnecessary and ridiculously poor choice. It’s material like this that creates disinterest in a TV series.
…I didn’t even watch Bones until the pony episode, but immediately Zack became my favourite character, and my reason to keep watching beyond that one time. It’s had some really cute moments as well, but I’m just not sure I can care about the show anymore without Zack. First character on tv I’ve really found myself identifying with in a long time – and they simply throw him out, call him weak-minded when his entire being seemed to revolve around his mind rather than impulse and emotion… and then toss him aside as a side-thought at the end of an episode during which he barely got a line other than a few “oops?”-type ****-ups? I’m appalled. Killing him would have been kinder.
‘Bye Bones. It’s been fun, but you took away what made it meaningful.
zack was my favorite on the show. its not really worth watching to me now. the show lost a fan
