I find it impossible to get excited about this movie. It’s another period romance for Kidman, who dazzled me in Cold Mountain, but is now too botoxed to convey feeling (I really mean that, by the way). Also, judging from the preview, it looks as though Jackman and Kidman have zero chemistry. Also, what is up with the kid? I’m confused. This is a film, which, under normal circumstances (i.e. a proper leading lady), I would be itching to see. Not this time.

This is the one-I think and hope this will at least see several Oscar nominations. This film will be up there with the likes of The English Patient, Atonement and I’d love to see as Baz Luhrman’s finest work.
The tralier is a classic and details stunning scenery and acting that both Nicole Kidman And Hugh Jackman threw themselves into to the point where Ms. Kidman passed out.
Just the trailer is a massive credit to a fantastic director and two of the World’s leading stars.

Hello?? The trailer was stunning. Nicole’s delivery and the script was so good and artistic. enough of the everyone was sleeping, grim, gory and garrishly serious narrations.
The childish-lack-of-word technique justified by the clips and Nicole’s bemused expression makes the trailer so interesting.

i think nicole kidman has just been chosing bad roles. She is a good actress, she has an oscar to prove it! I’m so excited to see this film though, i loved Moulin Rouge.

All the Nicole Kidman hate is totally ridiculous. She will be the best thing in the movie, besides Luhrmann’s intense imagery, and will take home another Oscar to boot.
Oh and, for the record, Far and Away was great.
