They all can’t be funny… nor should they be.

…I can’t think of a reason either. I still miss this fantastic and shiny show and I’m looking forward to getting both Firefly and Serenity when they come out on BluRay. Now if only someone would finance a sequel to Serenity I’d really have something to spend my money on.
For the time being though I must be contented to watching Firefly in HD over on the Universal HD channel Saturday nights @ 8pm (EDT) and posting on the Universal HD Firefly Fan Forums. Link – http://boards.nbcuni.com/universalHD/index.php?showforum=4

You’ve got to put War Stories up sometime. Any of the arguments between Wash and Mal… or the “This is something the Captain’s got to do himself.” Heh, great example of Whedon turning the genre on its head.

Oh how I love this show… And how I so desperately hope that one day it will return. Unlikely as it is, I still hope….

How can you not love this show? Firefly is the best TV show ever made.

    1. Your right they don’t all have to be funny, in fact I loved this clip – why is this show not on the air??
    2. Please keep Firefly Fridays going, I actually look forward to them!!
    3. We can only hope that somewhere there is a tv or movie exec saying “you know what we should bring back/make a sequel for…”

I love me some Firefly Fridays. It’s the best reason to get on EW.com!

Firefly Fridays are the best part of my day!

I have said it on previous Firefly fridays and will say it again. Whoever the idiot executives at Fox were who canceled this show should be hung out to dry.
I am sure by this point they have already been fired, then rehired by some other network though.

Mal and Inara are so heartbreakingly perfect for each other. Plus, they always use Kaylee as an excuse for EVERYTHING (re: Serenity movie, when Mal is calling Inara, and says that Kaylee’s missed her real bad, cue the groan from the entire crew watching on the screen down in the pilot area) related to their feelings for each other. Even more heartbreaking? In “Heart of Gold”, Inara sobbing when Mal slept with the lady in charge of the Hooker Hotel. Inara and Mal are way to proud to ever (well, eventually but not yet) admit their feelings for each other, but that scene in “Shindig”, and the one before it with her teaching him how to fight with the sword…I love this show! Joss, you are the master.
P.S. Love that “I got stabbed, right here!”

Hey, Aloha from NH, a movie did get made. It’s called Serenity and it was heartbreaking & AWESOME! They need to make another… :)

Can we do Firefly Fridays forever and ever?

  • Josh

Once again, absolutely makes my day, even with no sound here at work. Firefly Fridays are the best, and make me appreciate EW more and more every time.

Sci Fi ran a Firefly marathon today – I got nothing done! 8 episodes, from the pilot thru Jaynestown. Love the dialogue, the actors, Kaylee’s dress from Shindig!

Is it bad that I don’t want any of the actors to succeed in anything they do from now on because I want them to always be available for a Firefly/Serenity project…just in case? The chances of the series continuing are beyond slim, but how about some tv movies? Although, Serenity really did a good job of wrapping up the show. Thanks, Joss!
