Dawnie Walton and I could probably use a little help in the song suggestion department, so check out our latest installment of Idolatry, then weigh in with choices for the five remaining Idol contestants in the comments section below.

David Cook: Kentucky Woman or Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon
Archie: Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show
Brooke & Jason: no idea!
NO ONE should sing “Sweet Caroline”
I love “Cherry, Cherry” but don’t think that’s a good fit for anyone necessarily…
Archie should do “Shiloh”, he’s still young enough to have an imaginary friend.
I know you keep using the Bambi clips to mock Brooke, but they just make me love her more.
The “rocker” on Canadian Idol did “Forever in Blue Jeans” at his audition and it was actually pretty good -therefore I’d say a good choice.

I LOVE the Idolotry video. First with all the robots for KLC – and now Bambi and the Teletubbies. HILARIOUS! Neil Diamond is a great songwriter – but I agree – this close to the end the contestants should be able to pick more modern songs. I did love Andrew Lloyd Weber week – but I always love anything from Broadway musicals. It shows who can really sing and if they can truly “act” the lyrics of a song.
Seriously, I too was upset that Carly was kicked off before Brooke, but at least start getting over it. You’re pushing Carly just like the show producers are pushing Archuleta . . . and no one likes to be pushed.
It would be cool to hear any of these:
A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You
Solitary Man
Shilo
Kentucky Woman
Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show
Holly Holy
Longfellow Serenade
David Cook-Solitary Man
Brook-I am I said
Jason-Thank the Lord for the Nighttime
Archie-I’m a Believer
Saleisha-Little Bit You, Little Bit Me
I would enjoy hearing any of these:
Solitary Man
Shilo
Brooklyn Roads
Love on the Rocks
Evermore
Thank The Lord For The Night Time
You Got To Me
Play Me
Delirous Love
If You Know What I Mean
Lordy
Stones
Walk on Water
The Boat That I Row
Whomever came up with the idea of using a Teletubby to represent Archie is BRILLIANT.
def Love on the Rocks
This is much harder to do than it looks. Here’s my guesses for them:
I’m a Believer or A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You- Jason
Forever in Blue Jeans – Brooke
Solitary Man or I Am I Said- David C
Heartlight or Song Sung Blue- Syesha
America or Play Me- David A.
I would like to thank my mother for knowing way too much about Neil Diamond and the Beatles.
Am I the only one who really wants to hear “Crunchy Granola Suite”?
Idolatry has been such a laugh and the most honest commontary on AI 2007.Thanks for supporting Carly. Sorry all you teenie wennies and narrow minded she’s the real deal!
Saliesha-She will take Broadway by storm! At least it’s by choice and not because she can’t find any other work.
Brook-Has the potential to bring back the earthy sounds remmenicent of Carly Simon. But she better get a backbone if she wants to surrvive.
Jason-I don’t think cares so why should I!
David C.-A chamelion of sorts.Of those left he has the greatist potential.
David A.-Great voice but he needs to grow up fast to survive his fifteen minutes of fame ! Otherwise we’re going to see a Muchaley Caulken meltdown.
We already know who’s going to wear the crown this year so who cares what they sing…….
