Wow. More biased from EW. How unusual. You guys are pathetic. I am canceling my subscription to your stupid magazine. How you can direct so much hate to David A., I will never know. You shouldn't be hateful toward anyone in the top 5 - they are all talented.

To Waylan wrote: "In fairness, David A himself didn't make anything of the song. He has a group that consist of his father and a few others that do all his arrangements, etc. Simon knows this, and that his why he was always pushing to find out if David was at least choosing the song from the list."
And you know who does David A's arrangement work BECAUUUSE?? You're there? You're Simon's 2nd cousin???
A 17 yr old is still a minor, and is - but all accounts and purposes - still a child. Guidance is obviously in order, but even still - w/only a short amount of time between shows, it takes a team effort for EVERY contestant.
I find it hypocritical that David C. gets all these kudos for his "unique" arrangements, yet most of his performances have been borrowed from lesser knowns...
I agree that David needs to work on stage presence (he needs to MOVE).. but if you recall,Carrie Underwood was akin to a singing cardboard cutout when she was on A.I.-now look at her. She grew up.

One of those moms old enough to be DC's mother & really digging him! He was my pre-season favorite from the auditions because he is from Missouri...I really wish I had placed my bet at Vegas when he was 150 to 1! Check out the youtube for his studio version of MOTN, which has a lot more expression and musical skills on display. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ND7KZDkUeN0 As for David Archuleta, I like his singing a lot but not his performing. His personality is really disconnected -- he connects to music & ideas but he is very uncomfortable around people (his reaction to the little girls hugging him is but one example). All his songs are arranged into the same thing because it just requires him to sing grandly and not relate with the audience...ALW hit the nail on the head when he told him to open his eyes. Anyway, I think the powers that be have intended for DA to win but are having to reconsider. We'll see.

You shouldn't get credit just for rearranging something. It should have to have been rearranged into something good. All they did was turn a high contrast Diva song into a Micheal Bolton song.
They stripped it of almost all its difficulty level and personality.
Being a HUGE ALW fan his performance bothered me. It was the dumbing down of the song that bothered me more than anything.

David Cook really showed off his range this week which was very smart.
He's very smart, classy, talented, and yes, sensual. He's making a lot of girls and women in their thirties and beyond swoon. Go David Cook! I'll keep voting for you like a crazed teenager.
