It’s a slow news day, so I decided that it was finally time for me to watch Dancing With the Stars pro Julianne Hough’s country video, "That Song in My Head." (She wants to hear it, you see, so she can play back the video she has in her mind of a blue-eyed boy, dancing in the bed of a two-tone Ford — oh Lord, it’s love, y’all). Both the song and video are… basic. That’s really the best word I can think of to describe them. (Because "inoffensive" is overused, right?) Her hair is impressive though (as always). So is the length of that pier she’s walking on… I give it a 5. She’s clearly having a great time, and were I a teenage girl (or, um, boy), that could be infectious.

I think its a great song…..to me Julianne is one of those people that brings a smile to my face no matter waht she does and that’s great to me!!!

I really like Julianne, but I thought the song was kind of lame (and the video was a bit dull). But props for the longest pier EVER.
I loved it! It makes me think of summer and being young in love! I really love Julianne, she is just so talented and beautiful. She will be a huge sucess in the Country Music world! I am a big fan already!!! I will definatly buy her CD when it comes out on May 20th! Also plan to catch her on tour this summer with Brad Paisley….You go Julianne!!!

The song is corny and you could go to any honky tonk in Nashville and hear singers with much better vocals. She should stick to dancing. A fake country accent and 5 pounds of hair extensions does not make you a country singer.
Why does everyone who becomes famous for something else think that they need to be a singer too? Geesh! She is cute and an amazing dancer but this is not working. The video is cheesy, especially with that little radio she is carrying around. Leave the country to Carrie, Taylor and Faith Julianne! Stick to your amazing dancing!

This video reminds me how much I miss Julianne on DWTS. She makes me smile. I was a big country music fan in middle school and high school, and this song reminds me of that time in my life. I might buy the album. Either way, I wish her the best of luck.

For all of you who think she just decided she wanted to sing one day your wrong! Julianne has been singing just as long as she has been dancing!! This is her dream to sing and I think she’s fabulous! Yeah I’m sure that the “real country artists” are really laughing at this…..that’s why Brad Paisley asked her personally to be on his tour ticket this summer!!! All of the people hear making mean re-marks are just jealous!!! Julianne is so beautiful and talented! And a really sweet and down to earth girl. On CMT her video beat out T. Swift on a video showdown so I quess the real Country Music fans no what they like and what their talking about!!
There is no doubt that Julianne is sweet and beautiful but this is not her thing. Here vocals are average at best and if it wasn’t for DWTS I doubt the industry would have much interest in her. Yes, she is on tour with Brad Paisley but they are with the same label. The marketing machine added her to the tour to try and promote her. It’s a business. She may have been singing for a long time but not country. It is annoying to hear someone from Utah try to pass of a country accent. They gave her a record contract because right now she hot and had gotten attention in DWTS.
listen, if the AI folks can make it so can this girl. country music fans don’t ask for dramatic vocal range just simple, fun songs. i thought it was pretty good and right up there with some of the other stuff out there on country radio today. i don’t think she has any worries.
Julianne is so pretty. I think she does a wonderful job for her first video. She said in some interview that she was very nervous but i think she did a wonderful job. She is a good singer and a very beautiful; person. She is only 19 so she has time to work on being nervous. Julianne always makes me laugh. she is so cute and funny. and this song always gets stuck in my head after i listen to it. haha.( thats not a bad thing)

Just found this article. I give her a 10. It is so nice to see and hear a real happy song. We need to uplift our spirits and I think this song and video is awesome. If you like sultry, sexual or offensive, this is not the video for you. If you need uplifting and just like happy, spirited songs, have fun and enjoy.
I just wish she would have done a little more dancing in it. She is also an awesome dancer. I’m sure video # 2 or 3 or 4….will display her other awesome talent. Can you tell I really enjoyed it. 
I became a fan of Julianne when I hear the song very first time and watched its video. I did not know her before. I visited her website and the song goes on and on. There is a lot of energy in the music. I love Taylor’s “Our Song” and feel that that Julianne’s “that song in my head” is equally vibrant.
OK reading all the comments posted here makes me say this… Let any one of you that looks better and does a better job at singing at this point in your career…Step up and be heard. Until then… EAT YOUR HEART OUT!! She is doing a great job and will surely get much better with experience. She is a 10 compared to Britney Spears or Paris Hilton. You can call her refreshing, wholesome and a breath of fresh air. Her dancing skills are outstanding as well. I and the rest of the world are waiting for all this new discovered talent that was so critical of Julianne in this post to demonstrate just how good you are or think you are. Come on…let’s see what YOU can do. We now know what Julianne can do, all you have to do is top it!!

Well, dancing is her thing, but I don’t think singing is. It’s annoying that she fakes a country voice. Her song, to me anyway, is nothing new. Just another country pop song.
