While Hogan said that he did not really thing of BG as sci-fi, Reika said something to the effect that she thought about it often because the show showed a future where humans were less racist (other than against cylons) and the show had substantial roles for different races, including herself as an Indian woman, that you don’t see on television that much.

The “Wire” without question WAS the best show on television until it took its bow recently. Nothing compared to its realistic view of a decaying metropolitan area and the results of that decay. With it gone, “Battlestar” takes its place. It is the most currently relevant signigicant program on television. Period. Best ensemble cast – no other show on television is even in the stratosphere of this cast. Best Directors. Best Writers.
Unfortunately they work in and hire Canadians (although they killed the fine Candian actress Nicky Clyne off last week in what was her work to date) — so NO EMMY’S FOR YOU! Such Bulls*it…..
Something that was revealed over a year ago ceases to be a spoiler. If you’re that concerned about things being spoiled for you, don’t read current posts about BSG – the reveal of four of the final five is a major thread in the current season and therefore is going to be discussed heavily. Sorry if you’re not up to date – and yes, I know it sucks to have things revealed to you as I’ve had it happen to me on shows I started watching late – but you’re way past the timeframe of reasonably expecting to be unspoiled.
