Best camcorder project I ever did was for sociology my senior year of high school. Me and 2 girlfriends did a skit on how to attract a mate; we roped a guy classmate into being our boyfriend-to-be.
We opened up with me playing a news reporter, then went into our flirting skits. At the end, I wrapped up the "news report" and jumped up from my desk.
The film concluded with the whole cast dancing to a rap (?) song called "Fry That Chicken." We got an A+ on the project.

A bible study group I used to go to decided to make a video of a bible story, set in modern times. - so we chose to the the story of Jacob (from Genesis). It was only ever half-finished (we never quite worked out the logistics of the big car chase after Rachel stole Laban's Playstation). I played God as a WWF wrestler. Picture an overweight guy in a singlet, shorts, and 3 pairs of white pantyhose (to try and approximate tights), with face paint, falling to the ground from heaven (actually having jumped out of a tree - very funny footage of me stuck up there). I stood up, grabbed Jacob from his tent, and started beating him up. Cue ringside announcer. Jacob starts to beat me, I click my fingers, and an angel (a guy wearing fairy wings) appears to give me a baseball bat. Jacob runs away scared, I chase after him, Jacob trips on a tree root, and I attack him with the bat. Again and again and again. The rest played out as in the Bible. That was a very fun day of filming

When those Lifecall "I've fallen, and I can't get up!" commercials were all the rage back in the early 90s, a friend and I made our own versions at each other's houses. I used to have the tape until my mom "accidently" taped over it a few years after it was made.

Me and my older brother made mock Rescue 911 reenactments--except in our version, there was some sort of reason why the folks at 911 were NOT as on top of things as they seem & the 'victims' always died a bloody death. Ah, family fun!

My family remade 101 Dalmations. My mom was cruella deville and we all dressed up like dogs. It was completely insane with a diving board scene (don't ask) and a car chase. The funniest part was the outtakes when we got pulled over for reckless driving all wearing dog costumes.

Where to begin. My brother was obsessed with James Bond so we created our own series of "Chad Bond" movies with our cousins. They were more Naked Guy than actual James Bond which was more by accident than design. The first year we got our pool we also did an aquatic western called The Good, The Bad And The Soaked. We didn't have any female cousins handy so we dressed my slightly chunky cousin Ben in one of my Mom's bathing suits, make up and a t-shirt on his head backwards for long hair. My mom was so ticked when she came home and saw how well her bathing suit fit on my cousin.

Oh wow...this brings back memories! When I was younger my best friend and I created our own Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion. We each had scoliosis growing up so we even had a back brace scene! My favorite part had to be our dance routine though. We filmed this scene during a sleepover. The only version of the song we wanted to use was on her parents juke box so we played it over and over at 2 am (without any control over the volume) trying to get our obnoxious moves "just right"!
