My Downstairs TW DVR has something against Charmed. For years, I’ve recorded the morning airing on TNT and keep the latest 2 episodes on my List. All of a sudden, about a month, it just stopped remembering. If I tell it record one episode, it’s like, “Eh.. okay. But JUST THIS ONE TIME.” If I try to record every episode, the set up *seems* to go fine, but then I check the guide and there’s no hint that I ever requested. Or, there might be at the time I set up the request, but I check the next morning to find that DVR has gotten all fickle again.

My DVR has decided that it doesn’t like Secret Life of the American Teenager, and anything on the SciFi channel, but only if I am not in the room which defeats the purpose of the DVR! I know have 5 different queues for TSLAT and I am afraid to delete any of them lol. Isn’t technology great!

My DVR deleted everything that I had saved on it (about 20 hours of programs including two season finale’s of LOST and some of my favorite movies). I was so upset I think I actually threw a cat toy at the TV.

My TW DVR has taught itself a new trick: changing the channel without any warning or dialog asking if I’m “okay” with that. I now spend part of my day tracking down episode synopses because I no longer get to see the endings of any show I’m actually interested in. God forbid it could cut off Hoda Kotb and Kathy Lee Gifford in the gajillionth hour of the Today Show! I blame Time Warner for everything that’s trivially wrong with the world.

I tried to recored House last night and I went back to it today. I kept pressing “resume” or “start from the beginning”, BUT NO! It wouldnt play! Instead it asked me if I wanted to delete the episode! NO! I didnt want to delete the episode. After 10 minutes of reprimanding the TV I decided to call it quits.

My DVR did not record American Idol tonight I am so sad and pissy! I know there is know way to watch it before tomorrow nights show! Wrong so wrong! This thing has a mind of its own. One time it just decided to delete every thing? Now this! OMG I could scream! It has been taping faithfully since January! I can’t even vote tonight. I have been watching it for years! To top it off it only recorded 32 minutes of Hell’s kitchen?

i know this is technically not my dvr’s fault (see my name), but still. i VERY purposefully made sure that it was set to tape the house that aired after this year’s super bowl. but did NOT realize that the game being over would mean that the coverage of the game would be over. ended up only getting the first 3.5 minutes. i also blame fox. but that’s not unusual – i blame them for a lot of things.
