Have you really seen a COMMA in one of those Sarah Marshall ads? I haven’t. I think the first ad you mention is “inappropriate language” without that comma.
i can’t wait to see this movie!!
i went to wondercon’s “forgetting sarah marshall” talk to see kristin bell and jason segal and ended up loving russell brand teh most!!
I think this video is funny, though I am afraid that most won’t think so, the same way most people didn’t appreciate Dewey Cox. But more importantly, I am glad that there is someone else in the world who thought John Mayers song”Waiting on the World to Change” was uber lame and whiny. Thank you EW!
Love that Russell Brand! Hopefully this movie will open him up to new audiences. Check out his BBC Radio 2 podcast on iTunes.
Love the “False Untruths Kill”. That would be the truth! And the Consume Nothing:Buy Green – neatly sums up the converse/consumption contradictions ever-present in this “genre” of “save the world” songs videos.
Thanks to Scan for the info on the BBC radio podcasts.
And Simon, you can count me in with the “don’t get Apatow” crowd.
Oops. Meant to type “conservation/consumption” in comment below.
Russell is amazing! His way with language is just hilarious.
I really hope this brings him one step closer to worldwide stardom and that revolution he has been talking about.
Check out his BBC Radio 2 podcast! Hilarious!
How did this ‘We’ve Got to do Something’ video make me feel, you ask?
It made me feel like turning it off halfway because of it’s incoherent lameness.
So this is the new brand of comedy? Lazy. It put me to sleep.
I can’t write now I gotta do something.
Booo Judd Apatow!
Booo Judd Apatow!
I’d just like to agree with the many other posts: I cannot stand the obnoxious 50 million dollar ad campaign for this movie. This song is funny in theory but I really can’t believe that anyone’s bursting out laughing at anything in it. Hopefully the movie’s big Dracula Musical number is funnier.
He looks like Billy Zane, with hair. Amy Winehouse Hair.
It’s good! rolex watch?
