What’s wrong with Flying Without Wings? Slezak, has your Idol source given you tonight’s song selection? You know, the same person who leaked it last week??
David Cook- John Mellencamps “pink houses”
Brooke- Joan Osborne “One of Us”
Will Jason play the ukele?
i’d really like if someone sang queen’s “don’t stop me now” because i’ve always found that to be inspirational and it always hypes me up. but i don’t know who i’d want to sing that song
Don’t Stop Me Now was sung during an audition. It would be interesting to see how it can be edited.
tmz has the list of songs posted. So far this season they have been right every time. Jason Castro singing Somewhere Over The Rainbow should be very interesting. Lord help us though, Carly is doing a Queen song.
Really hope that Michael Johns does well tonight.
Joan — No problem, I COMPLETELY understand. I think it would be pretty cool if he played the ukelele. But, I doubt it.
To Mike: The Verve’s Bittersweet Sympny is inspirational?? Great song, but the lyrics aren’t exactly uplifting: “trying to make ends meet, you’re a slave to money then you die”.
I challenge anyone to sing The Darkness, “I Believe in a Thing Called Love.”
And along with the Irish suggestion, why not “Zombie” by the Cranberries? “When the violence causes silence, we must be mistaken.”
I’m looking forward to David Cook’s performance the most. I know Brooke and David A.’s performances will be boring as usual. Brooke does the same thing each and every week. David A.’s performance will probably be Disney-ish again. I’m sorry, but I’m just not really a fan of any of them except for David Cook and Jason Castro. Michael John’s is growing on me though. One more thing: I hope KLC bombs and FINALLY goes home on Thursday!
a message for Carly Smithson: i believe in you. but you have to work with me here. your gloomy song choice was not inspirational… it was desperational! way to go, reminding us one more time in your intro that the industry knocked you down. i am about to give up. Carly Hennessey was fun! And her hair was curly! and i’m sorry your CD didn’t sell, but i bought it on eBay last week and it’s good. and i bet you were smiled effortlessly back then. bring some joy next week – if there is a next week.
