Dalton Ross is back with the third installment in his series of dramatic readings of passages from the recently published Chicken Soup for the American Idol Soul. Today’s clip spotlights "author" Kimberly Caldwell. (To see last week’s clip on the works of Ace Young, click here. The previous installment, featuring the prose of Haley Scarnato, is here.)

This reading is about as boring as she is a TVGuide host. If she’d lose that supercool persona she puts on and act more natural, she might be good at it. The jostling for attention by these idol rejects on that show is annoying and sad to watch. TVGuide needs pull them aside and tell them to calm down.
Dalton, on the other hand, knows how it’s done. Calm, cool, with a touch of wry humor.

The way Dalton read that line “in love with music”? Priceless.

this is the first time I have watched this series and I have to say I went back to watch the other two. Highlarious! Haley’s was my fav by far, I could not stop laughing. The way Dalton is reading the lines I really feel like I am in Sunday School!
