Moviefan-I totally agree with you about Jason Dorhing and Evan. I was wondering if I was the only one that thought that. I think it makes me like Evan more (even though I’m a huge Cappie fan).

Aimee & Esther I just want you guys to know that I am not trying to beat this issue to no end. Aimee while NYC is a bit closer than TX, I do respect BOTH of your opinions. TX is very close minded & conservative in my opinion, no offense to Houston Esther, but you don’t see 2 gay cowboys walking down the street hand in hand like you would in say Chelsea. (And thats NOT an opinion, thats more of a fact.) I do congradulate ABC Family’s choice of covering diversity & trying to break stereo-types, but you’re both kind of missing my point. I am a white gay guy. You’re both females, that I assume are heterosexual. And not one other gay guy, let alone an African American one has commented about this topic. And to further that, there are THOUSANDS of college students (past & present) that probably visit PopWatch a day. Out of the 25 or so responses to this topic, 5 have been by me. Maybe not alot of people watch the show or read this topic, but thats why I said there are STILL unspoken truths.

I have to say I love Greek. Its a bit of a stretch at times but in all honesty what tv show isnt? It wouldnt be watchable if it was overly realistic.
Phil – I will comment on the African American frats with a gay brother. I disagree completely. I know of at least 3 brothers who were openly gay at my school and in african american frats. That is more than in our (what you consider) traditionally white frats. But that being said our traditionally white frats were more often than not mixed. And since you seem to be focused on the size and location of posters schools…I went to school in New York City.

sororities send national “consultants” to each chapter during the year to live there for a few days and assess the current state of the chapter and how it is following the standards of the national organization, etc. and it is totally fitting that anyone who wants that job would be a totally sorority-obsessed freak from a more loserish chapter of the sorority at a random school. i went to school in philly and they would send us a super-southern blonde consultant each year who did not at all fit in with the types of girls attracted to my sorority at the school i went to.

Esther if you paid attention to the beginning of this episode, Calvin didn’t even want to pledge Omega Chi, but it was the ONLY way his dad would pay for his tuition, which is why he is seen looking for some activity to join at the bgeinning of this episode. And I find it surprising how a few people have been quick to point out examples of Ashley & Calvins, and yet no one has commented about the fact that I said the black gay guy in a African American frat would NEVER happen. Kinda funny how the unspoken truths of the world still exist.
Anyways, can someone answer my question about Lizzie? Is she seriously a college graduate that works for the sorority she pledged at another school who is now like on their board and goes to work at other schools with students she’s never encountered prior? Thats seriosuly a job?
