MTV.com grabbed ahold of one of Jared Leto’s new jowls to get the first look at the poster for Chaper 27. The love-it-or-hate-it Sundance film about John Lennon’s killer opens in New York next weekend. Leto’s visage at least begs a revision of the movie’s tagline: They came to EW.com to read PopWatch… and their Friday changed… until their Friday was over.

Ahhh, the old “Circle of Friends” principle of acting: the more weight you gain, the better the movie will be. Right? Right???

Seriously, though, Leto may not be the best actor out there, but I give him mad props for not banking on his looks to make movies. He takes alot of risks
he looks good. i mean, he looks better fat than with the emo look.
Wow; if I didn’t already know that was Jared Leto and I was watching the movie, I’d be distracted the entire time thinking, “Geez; he looks and sounds exactly like someone. Who IS it?! I can’t wait for the credits!” I hate watching actors hurting themselves this way, adding and losing massive amounts of weight, though. It’s just not worth the health problems they’ll hafta deal with for the rest of their lives to entertain us. Prosthetics are really good these days, especially when done well.
