Happy St. Patrick's Day, from the Muppets

Today’s celebration of all things Irish wouldn’t be complete without a rendition of "Danny Boy." Here’s one, sung by three unlikely leprechauns. (Thanks to my colleague Mark Luckie for the tip.)

That was totally awesome. And I think Animal knew about as many of the words as most people do when they decide to have a drunken chorus of Danny Boy at their local Irish pub in celebration of the day.

Danny Boy was written by a bloody Brit! NO Danny Boy on Saint Patrick’s Day!

That said, I love the Muppets! They can can do no wrong.

Animal knows more of the words to this song than I do…drunk or sober.

Thanks for posting this. This had me laughing out loud. Brilliant.

I have tears running down my face from laughing so hard. Thanks for making my day! I LOVE The Muppets more than I can say….seriously…I think I am the comedic actor I am today from all the fantastic comedy I picked up from The Muppet Show (and The Carol Burnett Show). The show truly was GENIUS. And Beaker and The Swedish Chef together in a sketch? It doesn’t get better than that.

How awesome is Beaker on those high notes? But is anyone else frightened by the Swedish Chef’s ghostly white human hands?? Didn’t notice that when I was a kid.

That was hilarious. It reminded me of the SNL skits with Tarzan, Tonto, and Frankenstein’s monster singing Christmas Carols.

Oh, I really needed that. If that doesn’t make you laugh, nothing will. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.

Oh, that is just the cutest thing i’ve ever seen. I heart this blog so much.

even though this is a day late, does anyone remember on Saved By The Bell when Jessie Spano singing this song when Slater’s pet lizard Artie died.
And they changed it to “Artie Boy”.
