I have NO interest in this thing, but I will be curious to see if it blows up on the talk show/news chat circuit or if it'll just be brushed off as another dumb movie...I only hope any quasi-psychos out there that go see it don't try to emulate it in their own neighborhood. http://www.tower-defense-game.com/

No violence is displayed on screen by the villians, as the director is making a statement against violence and nudity in film that audiences are attracted to. While it is extremely tense and draining, everything is done in a tasteful manner.

Well I actually tried the thing and I must truly say that it was quite disturbing but yet I found myself laughing…it’s ridiculous. They actually say your name in it, it was so eerie. I also wikied it and I’m not sure if I’m going to see it yet, especially now that I know what happens.

Jon, I didn’t say that movie was for psychos, I said the murderers were obviously psychos, meaning they are psychopathic characters (as defined by Webster’s as “a person whose behavior is largely amoral and asocial and who is characterized by irresponsibility, lack of remorse or shame, perverse or impulsive (often criminal) behavior, and other serious personality defects” — so there’s my research for ya). What I find disturbing about the promo is that it’s point is to encourage people to emulate those psychotic behaviors for “fun!” And I’m sorry, but I find nothing “tasteful” about terrorizing, torture and murder, even if the actual blood-letting happens to be off-screen.

Do a little research on this before you say it’s only for psychos. While it is extremely tense and draining, everything is done in a tasteful manner (considering the subject manner). It’s really a smart film, opposed to other films dealing with torture (uhm…hmm…Saw franchise).

I have not seen the US version, but the German version is train wreck viewing of the highest order. I saw it on cable years ago and it is one of the most memerable movies I have ever seen. My wife is still scared by her viewing. I recommend it highly. As for all those expressing their concerns about the movie, copycats, etc…grow up.

The whole idea behind this is so disturbing. I hope they don’t hype it up to a point where there are copycats. I saw the trailer and could not sleep for days.
