Sarah Chalke stars in Hanes’ advertising campaign for its new "No Ride Up Panty." Zach Braff, her costar on Scrubs, has directed two TV spots. The funny one, which debuts March 11 during American Idol, is embedded below."I am so glad that Hanes is conquering the dreaded wedgie because it can happen at anytime to anyone — I should know," Chalke said in a press release. "For my first appearance at the Emmys, which was also my first time on the red carpet, I chose a gorgeous dress, but made a bad underwear selection. There were cameras everywhere so I had no opportunity to fix anything, especially a wedgie. Now I wear my No Ride Up panties because I love how they fit and I don’t have to worry about tugging them back into place."Funny, sad, or funny-sad?

That spot was cute, especially considering that it pretty much puts its pitchperson in a mostly thankless and embarrassing role (hey, mom, did you see the commercial where my underwear ride up my crotch?)
Then again, maybe I just really like it because I’m a huge Scrubs fan, and I think Sarah Chalke’s work on the show is unbelievably underrated. People (justifiably) talk about Zach Braff, Donald Faison, John C. McGinley, etc, but Chalke is terrific on that show.
She’s very funny and very sexy (no Annie Leibowitz spread for her?) and deserves to be a huge star.
I’ll need to say funny. Funnier if it wasn’t an ad campaign and if it was viral, even if for Hanes.

Sarah Chalke is awesome, and the ad’s pretty cute. I can’t believe she’s not a bigger star–I think she’d be great in a romantic comedy.

Very sad. I hate those blatant, crude commercials- I’m trying to enjoy a family night of TV here, and I don’t WANT to hear about your wedgie problems, now or ever! How about just a simple, short little message, like, “Our panties stay in place and never ride up.”? That would be a relief.
