First, David Cook rocked "Hello" on American Idol, giving it the stalker vibe it always deserved. Now, news comes that Lionel Richie will be honored with ASCAP’s lifetime achievement award next month (along with Steve Miller).
What’s your favorite Lionel Richie song? Since I can’t find a good video of "Stuck on You" to embed, I give you this live performance of "Still" and "Lady."
And also, after the jump, this clip from a German talk show of Richie singing "Hello" on helium.

I love Lionel anyway, but that rendition of “Hello” with helium is hysterical! My favorite Lionel Richie song is actually a duet he did with Alabama, “Deep River Woman”. (Okay, it’s because I grew up on the Deep River. I was a kid.)
He’s hilarious, a good sport. I guess Hello and All night long are my faves. So many others. I hear them in the grocery store all the time.
I love the beginning of Truly. I like the whole song, but not as much as I love that beginning.
Oddly enough, “All Night Long”. Reminds me of a huge 8th grade crush and the Halloween party where he actually spoke to me. Pathetic, I know.
Favorite Song is Sail On ~ I am more of a Commodores fan.
Once, twice, three times a lady (Commodores, but still…)
Lionel is awesome. I love “Hello,” and “Say You Say Me,” but I think the most impressive thing is a black man getting on country radio with “Stuck on You.”
“Ballerina Girl,” for the cheese factor and because my sister and I were dancers when we were kids. So we were the ballerina girls who were so lovely, get it?!?
“Dancing on the Ceiling” rocked in it’s time. The video just added that much more!
Hey, jambo, jambo! No song in the universe is more fun than “All Night Long.”
“Truly” is my favorite. Plus “Sail On” by the Commodores.
Hey, kats! How ya been? I know, that’s my favorite LR song too, and it was around Halloween of that year that I remember it best from. I had just come back from a haunted house with my first CUTE boyfriend and had a make-out session on his couch to this song. Ahhh, those were the days.
Hey Sarah! Good to see you! Been busy searching for a new job ugh! Funny that we have about the same experience with that song! Said cute guy never became my boyfriend but that night I was just happy he acknowledged my existence =0)
Hard to beat the Rich-man with Diana Ross on “Endless Love”. But solo, I like “Truly”.
C’mon sing it…that’s why I’m Easy-ayyyyyyyyyyyyy, Easy Like Sunday Morning.
Oh crap, now that song is in my head on replay.
