It’s been almost a month since I last blogged about Taylor Dayne, and I am pleased to report that over the weekend, I discovered another (great) excuse to bring up the subject of the all-too-under-the-radar pop diva. Her new ballad "Crash" is the background music for ABC’s post-strike "Hey! We’ve got new episodes!" campaign. And — bah-da-bah-da-da — I’m lovin’ it. What’s next? The music of Michel’le announcing new episodes of NBC’s 30 Rock? Oh that’d be nicety, nyyyys-teeee…

Oh Slezak, you are truly wonderful. I loved Michel’le, with her soulful singing voice but squeaky talking voice. And thanks for confirming that’s Taylor Dayne on ABC; I’m glad she’s getting the long-overdue exposure.
and by the way, taylor’s new CD is pretty ok. it’s more ac than past efforts, but either you go the hip-hop route, country, or AC. the voice is still in top form.

…actually, after reading her Wikipedia entry, I wonder if Suge Knight’s got her locked in a basement somewhere. She had a baby with that brother??? That must be like a true Beauty and the Beast story. She must have seen a gentler (maybe?)side of him, the side that he saves for his mother.
That song is Taylor-made (sorry) for a network promo. But I do love me some Taylor Dayne.
I adore Taylor- more about her please and her move to country. That girl is on the brink of a major, major comeback – I can feel it.
