You guys are no fun… taking the piss out of all my favorites. I don’t care if Jason Castro looks like a busker, if Michael Johns is slightly predictable or if David Archuleta has practiced his “golly gee willikers!”, I still adore all three of them! Your snark is wasted on me, Annie & Slezy! (Although you’re both still my favorite writers, along with Ms. Mandi of course).

Good episode, but I totally disagree with you guys about Cady Malloy while the judges were giving her criticism– that face was totally a “whatever, I’m hot and you’re old” look.
I don’t know if I was more excited on seeing Annie and Slezak (love you guys) give me the lowdown on AI or actually hearing EP Sato speak. Wait, did that sound like something a stalker would say? Just for the record I’m not, it’s just that I always see EP’s name and he has interesting things to say….ok I’m just gonna stop now before I make this worse.

EP is the man, he’s the man! And as sister of a fellow social worker, I say: you go boy! He was spot on about Jason Castro. First off, I can picture this guy with an open guitar case of quarters by New York City’s Times Square station. Secondly, does anyone (and I am dating myself here) remember the 90’s retro band “Jellyfish”? He looks like the Latino version of the dude with the dreadlocks. However, he’s a pretty decent arranger. If he does not make it on A.I., I think that he can do well in the music industry as an arranger. David Archuletta knows that he’s good, but this guy has a Broadway voice. Look, Broadway actor Sam Harris was on Star Search and had a very minor hit in the early Eighties with “Sugar Don’t Bite”. Let’s just say that Archuletta takes the cheese. He’ll probably have a minor hit on the radio,get dropped, and then go on to do a Disney Musical on Broadway.

Now it is true that Popwatch comments are read by more people than anything else I’ve written. Hopefully Popwatch isn’t any reader’s “life”, but instead provides everyone with a fun escape from the routine of life.
