I love George, but honestly, I’m not that bothered about who wins. Getting nominated is a huge honor already, and the fashion and glamour is the best part of the show for me.

I really hope Marion Cotillard wins Best Actress. I’m sure the ones who can’t understand why/how she would win over Julie Christie are the ones who have not see La Vie en Rose. Her performance is amazing. You see no trace of anyone but Edith Piaf on the screen. GO MARION!!!

Exactly Truman! For those of us who have seen LA VIE EN ROSE, there’s not other choice but Marion Cotillard for Best Actress. She was truly sensation. I too was impressed with Julie Christie’s nuanced performance in AWAY FROM HER, but there’s just no competition. For two hours, Cotillard WAS Edith Piaf.
Atonement was honestly god-awful in my opinion – and the other movies (except Juno) are so dark. Michael Clayton was actually my fav movie from 2007 so I hope it sweeps (though i think the shutout is a correct prediction).
