So, the rumors about Marlee Matlin (pictured) and Steve Guttenberg are true. Both are going to be hoofing it in the sixth cycle of Dancing With the Stars, which premieres March 17. I’m not going to pretend I have enough DWTS savvy to handicap the winner, but let’s see: Matlin, of course, is the most interesting contestant; at the very least, the deaf actress’ tenure on the show should be educational for viewers. Penn Jillette never struck me as the most graceful guy, but he’s used to trotting around the stage with a silent partner, so he should be fine. (Is he the requisite distinguished older gentleman, or is that the Gutt?) There are three athletes, including skater Kristi Yamaguchi, who should be used to the spangly costumes. And it’s nice to see that Shannon Elizabeth and Priscilla Presley haven’t fallen off the face of the earth.
Okay, PopWatchers, who do you like? Who do you think will win, and who will fall flat? And are you miffed that there’ll be no Maksim?

Kristi Yamaguchi seems to be a ringer. But then again, so was Sabrina.
I’ve never seen this show but I might tune in so I can see Monica Seles. It’s been a long 5 years since I last saw her on court, and I could pretend that as she’s dancing she’s really on the clay at Roland Garros.
The lineup is the reason Maks is taking a sabbatical.
I’m psyched for Kristi Yamaguchi and Monica Seles. Marlee should be very interesting and should do well-remember the deaf Miss America who was a ballet dancer? Priscilla Presley: she just scares me–worst plastic surgery botching in history. What a shame.

Have they announced the pros and who they will be partnering? I might watch for Kristi as well. Didn’t really recognize the names of several of the guys.

mcliza – I agree with you regarding Priscilla Presley. I think she must have hooked up with the same plastic surgeon as her ex-son-in-law, Michael Jackson. They both look horrendous!
Looking forward to the next season of DWTS but will miss Maksim. I think they gave Julianne Hough one of the worst people to ensure that someone else will win it this season.
How on earth will Priscilla Presley be able to dance? Her face is pulled so tight these days that her knees won’t bend anymore. Jane Seymour is a classy example of how to age gracefully and beautifully. Priscilla?? Not so much.

I’ve always liked Kristi Yamaguchi – her skating was beautiful & graceful. Marissa is the new Sabrina. She’s a triple threat, as is Mario. Will Priscilla Presley have interchangeable masks for each dance? Wait, they’re not masks, that’s her “real” face? Yikes!

I had read recently that Cheryl Ladd was a possible new ’star’, I was really hoping she would be on this season’s list…..please keep her in mind producers…or better yet bring all the original ‘Charlie’s Angels’ on together!

I LOVE it! Adam Carolla is one of my favs! I have no idea who Jason Taylor or Cristian de la Fuente are, but they are friggin’ hot! I used to love Kristi Yamaguchi when I used to watch ice skating 10 years ago or so. . . And Priscilla Presley! She’s classic. Just when I wasn’t going to watch another season I think I’ll have to tune back in.
