What a waste of time and money, to go to the theater and see a dance movie. Wasn’t there like 17 dance movies in a year? How many times can you really watch a bunch of teenagers doing the same dance moves? It’s just corny.
Anyone watching America’s Best Dance Crew on MTV? It’s got some pretty good dancing. And you get to fast-forward through all the talking and background info.
Bottom line: “Breakin” was the dance movie of the eighties, “Lambada” was popular in the nineties, and “Step Up” is the ’00′s dance film. Over all, same concept:”dance movie”, and “Breakin” was better. The sequel? Not so much.
totally saw that “shes the man” connection too
To Brandon: Concerning the waste of time, how about taking the time to read and answer this post if you dislike it so much??
Hey, Houstonian Jen, at least you went to the ballet! The arts need your support these days, and if it takes a total cheeseball movie to send you to the Kennedy Center, I say, right on, “Center Stage”! (That aside, was Ethan Stiefel dancing at the performance you saw? He is amazing.)
I have to agree with you about the shes the man thing. the whole movie i was like wasn’t he the jerk boyfriend in something? however i have to disagree with you about the movie… i LOVED it! right after i couldn’t help my self from breaking out in dance where ever i was … including the movie theatre lobby (it was empty of course) on the other hand i downloaded the soundtrack thinking i would have some music to put my moves to and was dissapointed. none of the on the cd except Low really reminded me of the movie or inspired me to dance. the song for the final dance sequence wan’t even on it. so soundtrack buyers beware.
I actually thought there was more dancie and less talkie. I didn’t expect to actually care about the characters, but by the end I did. I loved Moose, the asian girl, and Missy. The prank video and final dance sequence was hilarious and truly unbelievable. But the credits dancing was kind of boring.
i LOVED this movie, and im currently trying to convince my parents to let me take hip hop lessons! i thought the EXACT same thing about the guys, and she’s the man! i was talking about it to my friend who went to see it with me! i thought the characters were awesome, and the dancing was awesome too! this and Step Up are my two ABSOLUTE FAVORITE MOVIES!!!
I dont have words to describe this film… it was the best.! i LOVE LOVE LOVE Robert Hoffman (Chase) he is unbelievably handosme..Moose is very cute too..Andy: great dancer and finally Thomas Black was very handsome but a bit bad with my cute Chase!!!
your all tlking a load of rubbish the film is bad and sick dancers especially andi she is fine!!!!
