I was trying to think of something witty and suave to go along with this clip, but the best I could come up with was "We have lip lock, Captain" and "Space: The Frottage Frontier." (Look it up.) Both of which kinda suck. So I’m going with what PopWatch poobah Gary Susman suggested: "Chris Pine has his work cut out for him."

It’s PIKE….. CHRISTOPHER PIKE….
“No tounge”…
or
“Taffeta, darling!”….
Sorry….had to throw in a reference to one of my favorite movies, Young Frankenstein. “Yes! Yes! He was my….Boyfriend!”
I’ll make fun of it as much as the next person, but that reliable plot device allowed for the first inter-racial kiss on television. Thanks Shatner!
Don’t hate the player… Hate the game.
Umm, Mike. Chris Pine is Kirk in the new movie. Christopher Pike (who is also in the new movie) was captain of the Enterprise before Kirk. They’re two different people – one real, one a character.
Ann, I know his most famous role is “that guy from the Lindsay Lohan movie that wasn’t Mean Girls”, but calling him a fictional character is a little harsh.
James “Total Pimp” Kirk
OMG, that was hilarious! Some of the kisses (well, all really) were so over-the-top I was laughing through the whole thing. Particularly with the blue lady. Oh, and some of those outfits he was wearing! Too funny! Thanks for this hilarious post. And, you’re right, the new guy HAS to makeout with somebody in the new movie. It may be cheesy but it’s necessary!
You youngsters should remember that it was the age of ‘free love’ and Kirk just couldn’t be ‘tied down to any one woman’. Way to go, Kirk!
PS “Denny Crane!”
If you like this, you should totally check out the new book “Captain Kirk’s Guide to Women.” SO worth it!
Did anyone else notice he didn’t really make up with any of the he kept his mouth shut the whole time. I hope Pine goes for the real deal.
