I agree that Gene was immensely watchable, and I loved the fact that I never could predict what he was going to say.
For example, Trump said “I think you’re pretty tough”, to which Gene responded “I disagree.” (wha?!?!)
Anyway, I’ll miss the guy because he made the show watchable. I guess Piers is going to have to pick up the slack in the regard (though I can definitely see him grating). Especially since, except for awful Omarosa, the women refuse to do ANYTHING interesting.
They must have found a way to bring Simmons back. Perhaps as the flunky to Trumps’ right?
Gene was the most interesting person on the show and the tools at Kodak must love to have people regurgitate their crap if they liked the men’s presentation more.
There is no question Gene bailed out of the show on his own, for whatever reasons. The person who made the comment about him not wanting to be on the team with so many “F-Listers” is spot on. He got his money for the charity and split. You could tell even The Donald was practically groveling for him to pick Nely, who from what I have seen, has gotten very far in her career with…well, it sure doesn’t appear to be brains. He should have brought in Nely and Carol into the boardroom and let the bodies fall where they may…I think he saw the light at the end of the tunnel, but it wasn’t a bright light, just a bunch of dim bulbs. And in the challenge, I’m not gonna give Kodak much credit for not recognizing what was clearly the better “catch-phrase” with the Kodak World theme. I’m no computer genius, but I know enough to keep my adult beverages more than an arm’s length away from my laptop! We can only hope the producers (if they haven’t hung themselves) find a way to get him back!
If Trump wanted to get rid of Nely, why didn’t he just fire her instead of Gene? I’ve seen him do something like that before.I’m looking forward to see Vince Mcmahon on the show next week.
Gene Simmons was hilarious to watch, but also getting on my nerves with the God-complex. I love Piers — he or Marilu will win. (BTW, the printer is awesome. The ink is so much cheaper!) As in past years, as soon as you think they’ve gotten rid of the most interesting character, they find a way to highlight someone else’s eccentricities. I’m still watching!
The author of this blog, obviously, has never had to buy ink before! The price of ink is outrageous. It’s more expensive than gasoline! Gene Simmons is so self-absorbed he didn’t even bother to attend the meeting, wherein the Kodak folks said they wanted to stress the cheapness of the ink for their new printers.

I don’t understand how the men could fry their presentation and show up with the “glorified dumpster” as Jim put it and be declared “winner”. Huh? Gene clearly did not accept it either, or like everyone says, he got his charity check and was done. Trump was aching to fire Nely, but at the same time Gene brought 2 who had nothing to do with the loss. Should Trump have overruled and fired Nely anyway? Maybe. (So much for thinking Gene would win it all)
But if I hear negative Piers utter 1 more doomism I’ll scream. I know its his gig but he makes my head bleed. Wish the men would lose once just to get him fired. ‘Grade F’ is right!!! Even Celebrity Mole was better.
Kill me for this thought-but maybe Gene was trying to be chivalrous and make sure that NONE of the women would get fired.
How about in the beginning when Trump (after insulting all Italians with the comment to Vinny Pastore about knowing how many bodies were in the river next to them) moved Gene to the women’s team and complimented him by saying “I must tell you that (women’s team”) is now an interesting team”
Gene’s reply “I must tell you…you’re the devil” was awesome — I am surprised they left it in.

Trump insulted all Italians by assuming we put dead people in the river. What a suck dog lying hypocrite balding ugly hair demented faced piece of garbage he is. I want to stick a salami stick in him.
Gene Simmons was a hoot – and Alec Baldwin no comedic slouch. But was I the only one who really really really wanted to see Simmons give Omarosa the KISS tongue – just to check her reaction? He played it devilishly well and got himself off this ridiculous Trump vehicle. But what a loss to bored TV viewers everywhere. Since the writers’ strike is ongoing, why doesn’t NBC create a new unscripted reality show entitled “Gene Simmons’ World. Welcome!”?
