Okay, it’s an awards ceremony, so at least four-fifths of the nominees have to get shafted, but still, the Golden Globes winners’ list offered some head-scratching snubs. Most notably, Juno, which went 0 for 3 despite the critical and box-office love for the movie, Ellen Page (pictured), and the screenplay by EW columnist Diablo Cody. Which brings us to the night’s other big snub: in the hastily cobbled-together press conference that subbed for a full-blown awards ceremony, announcers Billy Bush and Nancy O’Dell didn’t even read off the winner of the Best Screenplay category (take that, striking writers!) or the awards for Best Original Score and Best Song. (For the record, they went to Joel and Ethan Coen’s No Country for Old Men script, Dario Marinelli’s Atonement score, and Eddie Vedder’s "Guaranteed" from Into the Wild.) They couldn’t have cut a few minutes of Bush and O’Dell’s attempts at ad libbing to make room for these? It’s not like the winners were going to waste precious time at the podium thanking their lawyers.
Tell us, PopWatchers, which of your movie and TV favorites got snubbed? Let us know, and get ready to compare notes — check back early Monday as EW awards guru Dave Karger analyzes the Globe winners and losers on the movie side and Ken Tucker does the same for the Globes’ TV picks.

Was not announcing Best Screenplay an intentional big middle finger to writers everywhere? Or is writing–lie songwriting and composing–just one of those silly awards given to non-famous people?
WHY did Juno not win Best Picture? Atonement was good but not like Juno. And Ellen Page not winning Best Actress was the most ridiculous shame I’ve ever seen… besides no noms for Friday Night Lights/Kyle Chandler in the first place! UGH!!!!
Dispointed that Their will be blood did not win for best picture and was not even nominated for score. But i would not have mind No Country winning instead. But who cares who wins these wins have no affect on who gets nominated for the oscars the nomination ballots were due yesterday.

Juno got shafted! Hopefully they can pick it up at the Oscars.

Rosie, Juno lost to Sweeney. It wasn’t nominated in the same category as Atonement.
Wow, some of your readers are just as bad as Larry King. Whoever: “Atonement over JUNO!?!?” Larry: “Award goes to Johnny Depp! Why wasn’t Daniel Day-Lewis nominated?” lol It’s called different categories, friends.
This was the worst!
I think the win for a nobody in a nothing movie (actress in a comedy/musical) was dissapointing- even for a non-award show.
I also think its lame to award Johnny Depp for staring out a window of an attic.
I know he’s popular, and I know he’s a great actor, but he’s a horrible singer.
Juno getting dissed was a shame, but no surprise. (backlash is a powerful thing) No Country got love for the man who owned that flick- Javier Bardem. Its the only award it needed to win. Same goes to There Will Be Blood and Daniel Day-Lewis.
Atonement, eh…I guess.
I’m hoping 3:10 to Yuma makes a comeback by Febuary. It’s the best movie of the year.
I’ve seen most of the films nominated, and I doubt there would have been much excitement even with celebs there. 2007 was a lackluster year.
A lackluster year? Really Rob Grizzly, I’d say this was an exceptional year filled with great films. Let’s see, there was No Country, Juno, There Will Be Blood, Atonement, Knocked Up, Superbad, Once, Sweeney Todd, Into the Wild, Waitress, and whatever else. Anyway, I don’t put much stock in awards, it’s a shame Depp won, I love him but it wasn’t one of the best performances, his voice was alright but Helena Bonham Carter was the one to watch. But I love how Extras won best comedy, even if Tina Fey won over Mary Louise Parker, yay Extras!
Marion Cotillard obviously isn’t just a nobody because she won. That’s how good her performance it was. What, you wanted Ellen Page to have won instead? Yeah, she was good in Juno, but pulling off Edith Piaf is just slightly better than pulling off angsty/smart-ass teen (no disrepsepect for Page, cause I loved Juno, just wasn’t as good as Cotillard). Just because an actress is an unknown doesn’t mean she should be overlooked, thankfully she wasn’t. And here’s to Cotillard giving Julie Christie a run for her money come Oscars! Oh and hooray for Javier Bardem!
Everyone in the Best Actor – TV Comedy category was snubbed by David Duchovny.
Seriously, I realize that Diablo Cody is an EW columnist, but is “stumping for Juno in every single article” part of her contract? I saw the movie. It was good. But the amount of attention this magazine and website have given it is getting pretty ridiculous. I mean, a headline story when it was the #1 movie ON A MONDAY??!?! Who cares?! You all talk about it in television reviews, other movie reviews, random casting news. . . GIVE IT A REST!
Alec Baldwin was robbed, as well as his show, 30 Rock… But congrats to Tina Fey!!
