I know you probably laughed (or maybe cried) (or shook your head incredulously) when you heard the news that Paula Abdul would be singing at this year’s Super Bowl. But on the other hand, you probably haven’t watched the video for "Straight Up" in a while either. So quit trying to resist the catchy! And let’s be honest, whether she’s great or an absolute train wreck, the viewing public wins!

Paula can dance, we all know she has the skills. However, her singing was very nasal. I am wondering if it is still nasal given her nose job?
However the media portrays her to be, no one can deny she was one of the best performers/choreographers to come out when MTV was at its prime. I wish her all the best. I’m glad a lot of 80s/90s singers are coming back again…show them how it’s done!
‘Straight Up’ is fine, but ‘Coldhearted Snake’ is better -so much so that it makes me a bit sad to see what’s become of her. Fingers crossed that she pulls it off.
She did have some good videos… David Fincher directed Paula in Straight Up and Cold Hearted… the same guy who directed Fight Club, Zodiac and Seven.

Are you people living in Paula’s house? It sounds like you’ve all been checking the medicine cabinet and “borrowing” some of mommy’s “vitamins”. Hell, I’ve got Paula on my mp3 player and enjoy her OLD videos. Do you really want to see her lipsynch for 12 minutes of your life that you will never get back??? Time that you could have spent with your children or reading books onto tape to help the blind? Using the bathroom, grabbing a quick sandwich and a smoke then fluffing up your couch pillows would be a better use of your Superbowl half-time timie than waiting for that train to wreck. If she does this and pulls it off, I will willingly and without complaint, go on a diet and lose 20 pounds. And I’ll do it by eating healthy. Yuck!
