Just asking: When do Bravo's reality stars shower?

Tyson_lSo, I’m watching the season premiere of Bravo’s Make Me a Supermodel last night and Tyson Beckford (pictured, with cohost Niki Taylor) wakes up the 12 contestants at 7 a.m. and tells them that they have 20 minutes to get ready for a go-see. Are these models superhuman when it comes to bathing, or do they just not get to shower? I found myself contemplating this exact same question earlier this season during Project Runway, when Tim Gunn told his designers to rise and shine and get their butts downstairs immediately.

While you ponder that question, allow me to give you another (from Alynda Wheat): Couldn’t the clothing that Tyson asked the models to burn, with some bulls— about starting anew, have been donated to charity? Maybe Ronnie would have found parting with his expensive suit easier that way. (I said maybe.)

I imagine that they just have one big communal shower and everyone jumps in there at once and they help each other lather up and…
I’m sorry, what was the question?

I would hope that they showered before they went to bed. I’d hate to think that they woke up with pink eyebrow makeup stains on their pillowcases.

Thank you so much for mentioning that the clothes could have been given to charity rather than being burned. I don’t like to take these shows too seriously, but it seemed like such a waste, especially in a city where so many people go without basic things, like warm clothes.

Now don’t get me wrong, i like this show, but the clothes-burning scene was beyond ridiculous! Less ham-fisted ‘symbolism’, more Tyson please!

OH ABOUT THE CLOTHES BURNING IS THAT ALSO HURTING OUR ENVIROMENT. . .WE LIVE IN A GREEN WORLD NOW I WOULDNT BE SUPRISED IF THEY HAD TO PAY THE CITY OF NEW YORK FOR POLLUTION. . .

I hate when reality show make the contestants profess that this prize(modelling contract) is worth more than anything in ones life. Its rediculious to have them burn their cloth to show their dedication to modeling… its reality show drama and its now just a cliche. Why not have them disown their families or give up their first born

….but I love the show! Its aiming to be the REAL modeling show and seems to be that. They have real contestants (all with a real shot) and it the NOT ANTM show. ANTM is just rediculous and almost has nothing to do with modeling. Get it off my MTV every damn weekend!

OK, I’m hooked. The clothes burning was quite silly. The kids are beautiful and I was annoyed at the judge who complained about the girl with the short “Lulu” haircut because it wasn’t model-like. I precisely love her because of it and she wears it beautifully. (Sorry I’m not good with names) Why do all the models need to look like clones? Let’s embrace diversity, it’s a different world now.
