I LOVE the Veggie Tales! I brought my 6 and 3 year olds to this movie and they enjoyed it. I liked Jonah better, though.
Our favorite song is “The Hairbrush Song”. We also like “I Love My Lips” and the one where Larry is waiting for the bus and the squash sits on his hat…

The movie is terrific no matter what anyone says. Not only is it allegorical, it has so much hidden truth in it, it makes it fun to find. Obviously, the father is God. But the Help Seeker is the Holy Spirit. It comes from the Father. The daughter KNOWS it’s good because it comes from the Father. It leads them to where the Father wanted them to go and gives them a choice to join what He’s doing or just go home. The Cheese Curls are sins that waylay us. The Help Seeker comes back in the end, which is to say there’s always more adventure in following what the Father wants. Much, much more….I love it.

The trailer’s just full of inaccuracies, they say their Jonah movie was the most sucessful vegetable movie of all time. What about Children of the Corn?*
*I measure success by how many god-awful, direct-to-video sequels a movie generates.

LOVE Veggie Tales! “Pirates” is an all-time classic, but I’m also partial to “I Love My Lips” and “The Yodeling Veternarian of the Alps.” And they did the best Star Trek parody ever.

I love the Veggie Tales. The Belly Button song is great. And I loved the Second Chances song in Jonah-it reminded me of the church scene in The Blues Brothers.

“Pirates” is the best ever, but “Oh Santa” or “Belly Button” are wonderful as well. I’m so happy to see there are other adults who find Veggietales hilarious- I use the songs as a pick-me-up when I’m having a bad day.. and the Pirates are my all time favorites!
