We love the dame, who turns 73 today, in the Harry Potter films and in costume dramas like A Room With a View. But we really love her gams in this sketch from The Carol Burnett Show. Agreed?
Happy Birthday, Maggie Smith!

There’s a lot of fire in those British gals – Irish ones too (the beautiful Maureen O’Hara comes to mind). Happy Birthday, Ms. Smith!
Who knew she was so hot?! Happy Birthday, Dame Maggie!
She is my favorite living actress.
Three cheers for the Dame!
I didn’t know she was on the Carol Burnett show. She is hilarious. Of course I knew she is a good comedic actress because of films like Travels with my aunt and Murder by death. Happy birthday Dame Maggie!!!
Love her!!!
This one Carol Burnett sketch made me laugh out loud more times then an entire SNL show from this past season (except for the Brian Williams episode). And Dame Maggie Smith…you are totally fabulous! Happy Birthday!
That was hilarious. My favorite Maggie Smith performance is relatvely recent — Countess Trentham in “Gosford Park”. Love that movie and she was fantastic. It’s worth it just to hear her say “flop” alone.
She is awesome…I’ll always remember her most fondly as Dora Charleston in “Murder by Death” and as Charlotte Bartlett in “Room with a View.”
