Which of your favorite fansites did we miss?

Categories: Film, Music, Television

Jerri_lSo you’ve perused EW’s list of the 25 best fansites (and EW.com’s 10 bonus bookmarks) and didn’t find your favorite web haunt? Nominate it below! I myself would like to give a shout-out to Tony’s Strangers With Candy Companion, (at jerriblank.com). It features detailed episode guides, audio clips, and the latest news on creators Amy Sedaris (pictured), Stephen Colbert, and Paul Dinello.

I also bow to The Daily Bublé. First, for its name. Of course. Then for its extensive collection of links to Michael Bublé’s appearances (on Italian and Japanese TV shows!).

Now you…

WHAT!? you guys forgot kindertrauma.com!!
the site dedicated to all the films that scared you as a kid?? What an oversite!!!!
http://www.kindertrauma.com/

• marc

I think you guys pretty much covered everything. Maybe in a few years, you could add this newly opened X Files fan site – www.xfilesultimate.com

• Maya

It’s not a fansite but it definitely deserves a “best bookmark” type of mention: SpoilerFix.com. It gives spoilers for most current TV series and is pretty accurate.
KryptonSite.com is a good Smallville site too. They have exclusive content and interviews from time to time.
Lost-Media.com is a must for all Lost fans.

• Donald Ely

http://www.madonnatribe.com
Obsessive forums with really catty fans and even more up to date than madonnalicious.com. They also have feature interviews throughout the year with former Madonna dancers, directors, technicians, designers…the list goes on. An online gallery dedicated to fan-created artwork. The list goes on and on..

I like The Leaky Cauldron, but I have a soft spot in my heart for Mugglenet!

• TeriTown

one of the best LOST fansites is over @ FilmFodder.com.
In the interim between seasons, they’ve kept a fairly hilarious caption contest going

Mugglenet!

• jenny

http://darkufo.blogspot.com
The best Lost site bar none. They passed 30 Million vistors a few months ago.
Check out the Screencaps section and the Spoilers section.

Project Rungay is indeed hilarious, but for the truly complete internet PR compendium, Blogging Project Runway ( http://bloggingprojectrunway.blogspot.com/ ) is by far the best. So, points off for that one.

• joshy

deftonesworld.com for sure. its a little outdated but its extensive and the message board is the best on the internet, even if you don’t like deftones

• Court

http://www.holmesian.net I maintain that Sherlock Holmes fans are legion, and just as nerdy and proud of it as Trekkies are.

• Rebecca

I was pleased to see that Memory Alpha, the Star Trek wiki, made your list, but what about the Trek Movie Report (trekmovie.com)? This fan-run site has featured posts by Leonard Nimoy and interviews with the new movie’s writers. And they break casting news BEFORE the official Star Trek site.
Also great is the Doctor Who News page (http://www.gallifreyone.com/news.php), though Doctor Who is sadly not very well-known in the U.S.

http://www.undented.com is the site for all Tori Amos fans to share all toriphile information. EW has never been a Tori fan so not surprised they missed the boat on this one!

• saracole

Rebecca—Dr. Who is absolutely wonderful, however the website you posted didn’t work. Can you try again? Tahnks

• Jennifer

What The Folk ! is a Flight of the Conchords fansite ; it’s has tons of info that the official site lacks.
Another site that I visit is http://www.frenz.com – the site for fans of Split Enz, Crowded House, Neil Finn, Tim Finn, Liam Finn. Frenz is the shortened name of the fan club – Frenz of the Enz.

• elizabeth

i’m a huge 30stm fan and jared leto fan and i looove http://www.jared-leto.org it always has great updates about the band and his films

• Babs

While it doesn’t have any bells and whistles, I find lostcasts.com essential. Their motto sums it up: “We read the forums so you don’t have to.” I could easily spend all my waking hours reading Lost sites while it’s on, but these guys conveniently package it all into a one-hour podcast so I can also have a life.

• Rebecca

saracole – you’re right, for some reason the link doesn’t work, even though that’s the address that comes up when I visit the webpage. Just Google “Doctor Who news.”

Gah, sorry for the double post.

• Nic

Right now I can’t live without http://www.cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com, the very best site for all Cloverfield news.

• J

While you’re on the topic of Jerriblank.com, how about the exhaustively comprehensive fansite for Paul Dinello, http://pauldinello.net For that matter, http://nofactzone.net is about as exhaustive a Stephen Colbert site that is out there, even the writers and man himself have been using it as a resource for writer’s strike information. And let’s not forget amysedarisrocks.com, it’s not as exhaustive as it could be, but Amy approves.

• Matt S.

http://www.gateworld.net – A truly intensive site for all things Stargate, including a forum, weekly news stories, exclusive interviews with people affiliated with the show, and an extensive omnipedia on all things Stargate related (technology, characters, planets, etc).

• Bill

I nominate my own http://titanstower.com/... a great guide to the 40plus years of Teen Titans comics and the Teen Titans animated series from cartoon network (which has a host of interviews and a groovy episode guide).

• Savanna

I’m a big Korn fan and http://www.kornspace.com is the site i think that even a casual fan can find useful. pretty much it’s ran and kept up to date by the fans. it focuses on all the latest tours and project news. and it has some great downloads. i like it.

• Darrell

http://www.hazzardnet.com/
The BEST site on the net dedicated to the Dukes Of Hazzard. Is has fanfic stoires and news and all the goodies you want in a site. The forum is full of great peopls and all a re very Duke like. the site is run by the 3 greatest people on the net. Stop by and relive the Dukes the way it was meant to be.

• John
