The Golden Globe nominations are in, and while we await expert analysis from EW’s Ken Tucker and Dave Karger (keep an eye on our Golden Globes hub), tell us: Which snub hit you the hardest? There’s a lot to choose from. For starters:
• Keri Russell (pictured) for Waitress: Would it have been too much to include her alongside Juno‘s Ellen Page? No room for two quirky indie pregnancy comedies at the HFPA inn?
• Into the Wild: The only love the film got was for Original Score and Song. Sorry, Emile Hirsch and Sean Penn.
• Ugly Betty: Only America Ferrera got a nod. Somewhere, a vacationing Michael Slezak is weeping for Vanessa Williams.
• The Sopranos: Edie Falco was the sole nominee. At least the network dramas — Lost, Heroes, Desperate Housewives, 24 — weren’t the only ones missing from the top TV category. Which leads us to another question:
Which snubs were actually warranted?

I’m getting progressively more and more annoyed as I read through this list.
No best comedy nod for The Office?
How are Across the Universe or The Brave One nominated for anything???
What about the Judd Apatow comedy fest this summer?
Californication? Really?
Keri Russell was robbed!
I thought the HFPA had a thing for her – they did reward her for Felicity, after all – but obvs, they have a short memory. I look at the categories, some have seven nominees in them. They so could have singled her out, too. If anything, Adrienne Shelly’s should’ve been recognized, but I guess Hollywood’s biggest party shall not bother with sentimentality.
24 and Heroes deserved to be snubbed in a way, I guess, but not Lost. The third season qualified for the 2008 awards, right?
I simply loved all the Pushing Daisies love, though.

I love the TV nominations! I’m so glad that the Golden Globes are recognizing some of the true talent and not just swallowing what the networks try to pass as talent! If only they would watch The Wire this list would be complete! Hooray!
Into The Wild was robbed.
Seriously, no Waitress at all? Nothing for Adrienne Shelley’s delightful screenplay, or the great performances of Keri Russell or Cheryl Hines?
And yet Walk Hard gets nominated for Best Comedy/Musical? At the very least, Knocked Up should be there.
I can swallow no nom for “Lost”…it took too long to get back in the groove. But “Californication” over “The Office” is enough of a travesty to make me want to punch my computer screen.
Not on the topic of snubs, but–was Hairspray nominated for Musical/Comedy or was it not? The recap says yes, but the list says the fifth nominee is Walk Hard (Walk Hard??? Really???).
I’m happy to see Sally Field from BRothers and Sisters, but what about the amazing Rachel Griffiths? And, for me personally, I would have loved to see John Travolta nominated for Hairspray.
I haven’t seen “The Savages” yet, but it’s hard to imagine that the great Laura Linney didn’t merit a nomination for her work opposite Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Pray tell, where in the heck is Ally Walker’s nomination for her amazing performance in “Tell Me You Love Me”?
Once and Into the Wild were robbed!
sooooo many injustices this year! Here’s my list:
1) No Best Comedy nod for The Office
2) No Best Drama nod for Lost (!!!) …somewhere Doc is weeping with me
3) No Best Drama nod for Into The Wild (!)
4) Nothing for Emile Hirsch or Sean Penn for Into the Wild
5) Nothing for Tommy Lee Jones (he was incredilbe in In the Valley of Elah and No Country…)
6) Keri Russell for Waitress
wow…Keri Russell…I don’t know if I can come back from this.
Desperate Housewives has been GREAT this season! I thought they’d at least go with the same old nomination for Felicity Huffman. But none?!? Eva Longoria and/or Marcia Cross deserved recognition. Pushing Daisies lost me half-way through the second episode.
also…
7) where is Knocked Up for Best Comedy?
8) Katherine Heigl for Knocked Up
9) Once
10) Laura Linney for The Savages!!!
rachel griffiths was nominated, i think i saw her name. anyway, INTO THE WILD was robbed. i can kinda see how certain things / people were not nominated, but WILD is the best movie of the year, hands down. keri russell was also shafted. all we can do is try to find a favorite nominee out of what’s left. oh well
