In news that is sure to thrill and titillate regular readers of this space, Wayne W., a.k.a. Blink1082, a.k.a. EW.com’s inadvertent box office heartthrob, paid another visit to the winner’s circle in the latest edition of our Fall Box Office Challenge. Yes, readers and Wayne Fan Club members, the beefcake is back, thanks to a stellar weekend of prognostication. While a hefty 69 percent of all players correctly picked Enchanted to win, a mere 4 percent saw This Christmas coming out of nowhere to wind up at No. 2.
Those folks must have the same glimmering crystal ball as Wayne, who stands in first place overall, with only two weeks left in our fall contest. "This Christmas I knew would do better than expected," says our leader, because he saw it "capitalizing on the sameaudience that ate up Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married? and tends to get ignored by moststudios. Add that to nothing big holding over from last week, and there ya go." As for his remarkable online following, Wayne adds, "Hopefully it’ll keep growing so my mom can finally have something to brag about." What, simply leading the Box Office Challenge isn’t enough?

I didn’t play the game, but I find it really surprising and annoying nobody expected This Christmas to do well. It was bad enough when people were shocked when Tyler Perry opened at number one this fall (even though he had done it twice before), but this one actually looked good and had decent reviews. What must the black family movie do to get noticed by you so called analysts?! When I saw the totals I wasn’t that surprised, but looking back at the column on here which only predicted 10 million sure did. Pay attention to trends for the love of God!

Congrats on winning again handsome! When you won last time and I made the first comment regarding your cuteness I never bothered to check my own standing in the weekly game. I must bow down to your hotness & knwoledge, as I am just outside the Top 50, at #61. I doubt I will be able to properly fortell the next 2 weeks to jump into the final Top 50 of the year, let alone the top 10! Congrats! Good going once again, Wayne. Those Hollywood execs certainly need to check you out and call you in for a script reading… imagine that, someone who is a good actor, good looking, and seems to know and understand the film industry market. All rolled into one!

Wayne’s cameo in Grandma’s Boy was the best thing that ever happened to me. Actually, finding out someone I knew was in Grandma’s Boy was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I have worked with this man personally and can say he is a stand up guy.
All those years of watching movies and analyzing them to death is finally paying off, Wayne. Way to go lil’bro. Mom will be so proud (or just amused) when I tell her about this.
