My family discussed circumcision. And how it’s going out of style with upper-class white families.
On a related note: We’re pretty sure our turkey was Jewish.

I gotta say, we talked a lot about Friends…and then watched a myriad of episodes across all 10 seasons. The main ? was “is there a Thanksgiving episode for all seasons?” Kinda ironic when I got on here later and saw you featured each one last week. Other than that, we gushed about Enchanted and Amy Adams, which we saw Thanksgiving night and tried not to be eaten by my sister’s cat.
We discussed how the Wizard of Oz was always a Thanksgiving staple on TV, then NBC tried the same trick with Home Alone. I know they had the Incredibles on this year and have shown The Family Man in the past. I hated Family Man. Planes, Trains and Autos might be the ultimate T-day flick, though I realized Diane Lane ripped off the scene where Steve Martin figures out the truth about John Candy’s character on the subway for Unfaithful.
Two of my aunts, both in their 60s, surprised me with an in-depth discussion of Dancing With the Stars. Who was let go to soon, who should be gone (Marie), etc. Of course, they both agreed that it was lovely for Marie that she’s lost so much weight. They then went on to discuss the relative merits of all the contestants on The Amazing Race. I guess we were avoiding discussing the grandchildren who couldn’t join us for dinner because they were in jail.
For the record:
**”Superbad” > “Knocked Up” (if only a little)
**”The Office” > “Grey’s Anatomy” (if only a little) and should be watched live.
**”I Am Legend” had better rule (it certainly has the potential).
**Animated Angelina = Real Angelina (unless Animated Angelina is in 3-D…in which case all bets are off.)
My brother and I had a debate about which Rocky movie we would rather watch. He says Rocky and I say Rocky IV. How can Rocky IV not be considered the most awesome Rocky? It is such a jingoistic and unsubtle movie that speaks to a totally bygone era.
We got into a debate over whether the Led Zeppelin (supposed) reunion tour was exciting or disappointing.
that kip character seems pretty hilarious
