Slezak: Hey, Annie Barrett, did you hear the big news about America’s Next Top Model? Twiggy has been asked to return to the house immediately, pack her belongings, and go home.
Annie: Did you take a deep breath between "go" and "home," like Tyra does?
Slezak: I tried to…but it’s hard to insert a dramatic pause in an IM.
Annie: Totally.
Slezak: Actually, according to The CW, Twiggy is leaving due to "scheduling conflicts," though let’s be honest, she had a repertoire of, like, the same four adjectives she used every episode.
Annie: She’ll be missed! Okay, not really. But I do love her replacement, author (!) and doomed DWTS contestant Paulina Porizkova.
Slezak: Yeah, Paulina has spunk, class, and a good sense of humor. I just don’t know if she brings the betchiness I’ve been missing since Janice Dickinson left the panel.
Annie: Paulina’s hilarious. I just hope she doesn’t get walked all over by Tyra and her ambiguous "agenda."
Slezak: I give her three weeks before she starts giving the girls contradictory, self-esteem-wrecking critiques.
Annie: And Ty-rant better not play the age card like she did with "eh-LIVING legend, tuh-WIGGY." The way she always said it, it was like she was surprised Twiggy was still alive each week. Gross.
Slezak: I expected old Twigs to pop up and shout, "not dead yet!"
Annie: How could she have never done that?
Slezak: I know, riiiiiiiiight?

Oh, thank effing God!! If I had to hear Twiggy say, “the camera loves you” one more time, I think I would puke.
Love Paulina!!
No! I love Twiggy. I’ll miss her, but I can see why she’s leaving. I don’t think I could bear to watch Miss J and Tyra whack each other on the rumps, week after week, and in person! Ech! I hope she gets a better gig. I hate that I love Paulina, so I can’t even badmouth her replacement. Paulina won’t be quiet, but I guess she won’t try to take over the joint like Janice threatened to. It would be fun if she tried.
I have no thoughts on Paulina other than enjoying her one bit of rehearsal footage, finding her delightful and being disappointed she was kicked out of DWTS first (or second).
I DO have thoughts on Twiggy: She’s brought nothing to the show every since she was added…not a single thing. She’s a waste of space, and I only wish the CW had announced that the not-quite-as-useless Miss J had been replaced to.
I still blame Twiggy for letting Nicole beat Nik during Cycle 5. This news excites me because something needs to shake up the show. I miss Janice so much

As much as i love Twiggy it was time for her to go. She’s been especially lackluster this season. I dunno about Porizkova’s personality but i’m guessing it’ll be livelier than Twiggy’s.

Oh, the hate for Miss J warms my heart. It’s interesting to watch old seasons and see when she actually used to contribute to the show. She’s a decent runway coach and insightful in that regard, but simply obnoxious in panel.

Paulina was my first “super model” and I LOVE love her. I like Twiggy, but I hope Paulina is able to provide constructive feedback – she was a HUGE model back in the day.
I agree, I stopped watching this show b/c I couldn’t stand Tyra’s egotistical behavior. And they need to rename this show to “America’s Next Unemployed Model” Seriously, the girls that win are NOT even pretty.
Twiggy seems like a sweet woman, and was the first true supermodel but was never a good fit for the show…too sweet and nice…especially with me still pining for Janice…Hopefully Paulina is crazy and or nasty to get some Janice-like spice back…Tyra is getting more and more narcisistic and annoying…I need someone to take some of that attention off her at panel…

I think it is so stupid that these idiots say I watch the show but i hate Tyra. Stupid, stupid, stupid. What a bunch of idiots.
I don’t really like any of the judges but the one that needs replacing the most is Tyra. I’d like to see how the judging goes when she’s not dominating the discussion.
Paulina was the Gerry Hall of the 80’s. Like Gerry Hall was to Roxy Music Paulina was to The Cars.
Personally I would like to see Beverley Johnson or Patti Boyd on that show.
PTL, Praise the Lord! The Old Twigster is BO-RRRING. No one will ever live up to Janice Dickinson! But I like Paulina she was one of my fave models during the Big 80s. I’m sure the egomaniacal I-want-to-be-Oprah Ty-rant doesn’t want anyone else to show her up so Paulina better watch her back. AND Miss J’s chia pet ‘fro altho Miss J will probably have a new gimmick next season. And I’m still bitter about Lisa getting the boot last week! GRRRRRR AAAAAAAARGH.

Watching past re-runs of ANTM on mtv it shows that Janice, while pretty brutal sometimes, was trying to help the girls and gave them little pointers. Twiggy has never offered any helpful suggestion.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to have someone from the sponsoring agency be a judge? None of the current judges reeeeally work in fashion right now. I vote for Becky from The Agency! She’d bring Janice’s spice with Twiggy’s accent. Perfect.
