This comes from the British press and a member of the Jackson family, so there may be more spin here than in a Hanukkah dreidl, but make of it what you will: Jermaine Jackson has reportedly told the BBC that he and Michael and the rest of the Jackson 5 are planning a reunion tour next year. Assuming that the sibs can actually get their act together and take it on the road — I mean, we’ve heard this before, haven’t we? — I’m excited by the prospect of a Jackson 5 tour for two reasons: First, it could actually be really great, seeing a bunch of born showmen do what they do best, in the only context that ever really worked for all of them. Second, it could be an utter trainwreck, for all the obvious and sordid reasons — and that could be even more entertaining.
Show of hands: Who among you would buy tickets to a J5 reunion show? And would you go because you’re hoping for "Victory" or for "Torture"?

Nope.
It’s probably a $250 ticket – more than one of them has to replenish their bank account.
…or their nose, lack there of. *hint, hint*
Gary, they’re not born showmen. They became showmen after their father beat them into it.
I only liked these guys back when this picture was taken. There is no way they could ever be as good or entertaining as they were 35 years ago. Plus I’m sure the ticket price would be obscenely expensive.
I was there for the Victory tour and will not go back. Delays, bad sound and not a very good show at all. Count me out.
Susman, you’re so bad. I like it!
I would go for sure. I would also hope Michael would do some solo songs within the tour.
I’m guessing trainwreck. Those troubled, beaten kids are now troubled, bankrupt adults.
Here’s my challenge: who can spot Michael in that picture??
I wouldn’t miss it for the world. This is simply due to the fact that I grew up with the Jackson 5 era, and proudly admit that I did indeed wear out their records year after year in junior high and high school. They were absolutely brilliant entertainers back then to where their music had such a positive impact on me in my younger years, to where I can easily appreciate great, feel-good music of today. So yep, I’d be there in a heartbeat, no doubt about it!
J5 is now and will always be Jurassic 5, not this washed-up insanity.
I read this on a British Music blog and nearly died laughing……made me look at the reunion in a whole different light!

This blurb made me wrinkle up like I caught a faint whiff of egg farts.
I really REALLY want this to be good; despite all of the weirdness they deserve for it to be freakin’ awesome. But, yeah . . . it won’t be.
Lisa – that’s a hilarious blog entry.
Well that guarantees there will be a Jackson in the next season of Dancing with the Stars.
I wouldn’t pay more than 50 bucks to see them, but if my dream price arises – I will be waiting with baited breath for Can You Feel It….First video I can remember ever seeing, it was awesome, loved, loved, loved the teenage J5 when I was a wee little one…
