I spotted The Legend of Zelda, Pong, Mortal Kombat, and Tetris. (There’s also, allegedly, Pokemon, but as I’m not 12, I didn’t recognize it.)

Lol! That’s very true, but I think that the 80′s band “Pigbag” already proved that marching band geeks are cool. Their most famous song “Papa’s Got a brand new Pigbag” is pretty much played by marching bands all over the world.
Pokemon is the screencapture before you download the video. It’s the two circles that split apart. When I first saw this, it took a while to figure out we were seeing it upside-down! Love the Mario castle.

I don’t have any footage, but Saturday afternoon I was at the Notre-Dame/Duke game and the halftime show by the Irish band was music from “Super Mario Brothers” and the formations included Mario, mushrooms, stars, and concluded with the end of level raising of the flag. It was great, topping last week’s rendition of OK Go’s treadmill video….someone from ND should have this on video and post it.
My 10 year old confirms Poke’ balls.

I don’t like when people diss on marching bands just because that is what everyone else does:( Marching band takes a lot of work and those kids are talented musicians. Since we’re kind of on the subject of college sports. GO MIZZOU TIGERS!!)

That was cute but the halftime shows put on by the HBC’s are still the best.
Pokemon is a very strategic game and you should give it a chance!

HA! I was at this game and it was awesome! We we’re geeking out the whole time! The Tetris portion is the best…GO CAL (despite their record this year. At least I’m not a fair weather fan!)!!!
