Showtime’s Brotherhood is the best show on tv … give it a try, people

We Need Girlfriends! It was just announced that Darren Star and CBS are teaming up to develop a sitcom based on this hilarious little webshow. http://www.weneedgirlfriends.tv/

    Friday Night Lights!
Best cast, best writing, best show.

  • Lyn

I just discovered Pandora radio and the Music Genome Project. http://www.pandora.com
It really knows what you want. Fantastically cool.

At the moment my must watch each week is “Dexter”.

  • Red

Pandora for sure. It’s like it actually knows me!

  • Emily

The Principles of Uncertainty by Maria Kalman is the most gorgeous and inspiring book I’ve read in a long time.

  • Ryan

    The kid actors from Weeds.
The Abstinence Teacher, by Tom Perrota (which would be perfect for Mary-Louise Parker, by the way).
    I’m not There, the soundtrack.

  • Jay

How about ‘HEROES’ finally getting back on track for what looks like a sweet storyline?

  • Hoo

Californication- 1st season rocked, the cast had amazing chemistry.
    WEEDS- always hilarious.
LIFE- DAMIEN LEWIS is amazing and each week it gets better.
Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares- On BBC America- watching cooks and business owners get yelled at for being crap is the greatest thing ever!
UGLY BETTY- season 2- still hysterical every week
THE OFFICE- season 3 and I’m still hooked! Dwight makes my TV week special.

  • Chris

    1) Michael Urie on ‘Ugly Betty.” Finally, a primetime gay character that while hilariously stereotypical, also has an amazing amount of heart!
2)Friday Night Lights. This past week’s episode proved why this is the best drama on TV.
3)Carrie Underwood, ‘Carnival Ride.’ Who knew country music could be a guilty pleasure…and actually sound good!?

  • Chris G

Into the Wild by John Krakauer. The film adaptation is one of the best films of the year, and it’s so good that it made me want to read more about Chris McCandless’ harrowing adventure.
Desperate Housewives Season 1 on DVD. I realize the fourth season is currently airing, but a bit of nostalgia never hurt anyone.
Spring Awakening soundtrack. The music by Ducan Sheik is simply wonderful and the lyrics are catchy. This is Broadway for people who don’t like Broadway.

  • Ep Sato

Battlestar Galactica Razor Flashbacks. Lasting only two minutes, each mini episode is by far the best reason to justify watching Flash Gordon.
Those patient enough to wait until after the new episode has aired can see the complete set at http://www.scifi.com/battlestar

  • Shannon

    1. Pearl Jam’s “Immagine in Cornice” DVD
    2. Reaper!
    3. Nixxi Sixx – “The Heroin Diaries”

  • Shannon

    Oops, I meant Nikki.

  • Sina

Jason and Elizabeth on General Hospital
Tequlia Sunrise-Kurt Russell’s best movie and all actors had great chemistry. Comes on Cinemax right now.

  • NineDaves

Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segel on How I Met Your Mother. They may not have gotten as much praise as Neil Patrick Harris’ Barney has, but as Lily and Marshall, they’re consistently deliver the funny, making them the best (and most realistic) married couple on television.

  • Sue

Ugly Kids..That kid from Californication has really made it possible for ugly kids to get on tv

  • Gringo

(Album) Jamie Scott & The Town – ‘Park Bench Theories’: full of amazing ballads
(Television) It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia: The season may have just ended, but it’s still the funniest show on American television.
(Film) ‘Dan In Real Life’: One of the funniest and most enjoyable films of the year.

(TV) How I Met Your Mother Season 3
(DVD) How I Met Your Mother Season 2
How come the entire country is not watching this show?????

  • Laura L.

    1. Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass – An almost perfect game.
    2. Vanessa Carlton’s “Heroes and Thieves” – I’ve been listening to this cd non stop since I bought it. I love it.
    3. David Anders on Heroes – I loved him as Sark and I’m loving him on Heroes

  • paige

Nothing, I mean nothing, compares to Arrested Development. I pulled out the Season One DVDs and belly-laughed my way through, just as if it was the first time. Now hurting myself falling down laughing with Season Two. I expect to be in traction by Season Three.

  • stephen

Kelly Clarkson’s “My December” because I’m a stalker at this point.

  • Danielle

The British invasion! Some of the best actors on TV right now aren’t homegrown, and I’m loving it. From the Brit and Aussie combo on “Moonlight” to Damien Lewis on “Life,” these actors are great to watch.

  • Jill

    Damian Lewis on Life
Cliff & Marc on Ugly Betty
Cliff & Marc on Ugly Betty (so nice it should be twice)

  • Lara

    1. “Break Anotha”, Blake Lewis – Kelly, Carrie, Daughtry… Blake. Idol’s next breakout star arrives with a hot slice of 80’s-inspired electropop.
    2. Reaper – Completely hilarious yet occasionally spooky, and great cast.
    3. CSI:NY – Currently having their best season to date, in my opinion. The storylines have been tight and well-written, the acting terrific, and the science and gadgets nifty.

  • miranda

    Arrested Development
    Regina Spektor
    Life
