The four-part fourth season of PBS’ series on contemporary art and artists kicks off Sunday night withfour artists whose work relates to the subject of romance. Featured artistsinclude Laurie Simmons, who attempts to portray love and romance throughphotographedscenes staged with puppets, ventriloquist dummies, and dancerscostumed as everyday objects. Also featured is sculptor Judy Pfaff, whose workis inspired by the deaths of close friends and family members. The three future episodes this season willfeature contemporary artists exploring the notions of protest, ecology, andparadox.

Despite being on basic cable,word is it’s kinda gory, andalso not half-bad, in a campy Saturday Night Horror Movie kind of way.Bonus:Richard Moll (yes, Bull from Night Court!)makes a special appearance as a bearded yokel.
