Casting call for the new Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara

I see George Clooney as Rhett, as I’ve heard many people in agreement… For Scarlett,that’s a hard one… to find an actress with the right age, coloring (hair, eyes, etc.) and attitude, but for now I’ll go with Megan Fox, although she has blue eyes and is young, she has the attitude. Ive heard Jude Law for Ashley, but I say Ryan Gosseling. For Melanie, either Rachel McAdams (she and Gosseling have so much chemistry onscreen)or Emmy Rossum, remember, Melly was sweet and soft-spoken, a lady. Now, for Mammy, I was thinking Whoopie Goldberg. Haha, since they’re look – alikes, Angelina could play Scarlett’s mother.

Ashley Judd would be perfect for Scarlett. When is the movie coming out?

When I read the book, I was picturing Jordan Bridges as Rhett and Reese Witherspoon with dark hair as Scarlett. Clooney would be a good Rhett, since Rhett is actually a year older than Scarlett’s mother, but it is hard to picture him as anything but a good guy, and Rhett Butler is not exactly considered a “good guy”.

The article is old but RBP is a very good book, it actually is not a prequel but is Rhett’s story along the same time line as GWTW. The book starts out before the Twelve Oaks BBQ. The movie would be a retailing of GWTW

For Scarlett we would need someone who is feminine and beautiful and tiny wasted and all that but still has that healthy “plumpness” or round of face about them. Thats part of Scarletts charm, with her dimples and everything. And also i think this actress would need some natural sort of charisma if you will. Im thinking Natalie Dormer. Shes perfect.
I dont think it matters much who plays Ashley – he should just have nice traditionally handsome features, blonde hair, and more of a tall and lanky frame. Also, its gotta be someone who can pull off acting like Ashley, who is for the most part vulnerable and at war with himself. He’s usually bitter and forever second guessing himself. But he’s also a “thinker”. He’s into things that go deeper than what meets the eye. I could see Ryan Gosling as Ashley, for he has that sort of quiet thoughtfulness about him.
As for Rhett, It must be someone who has a strong presence. He would have to be mocking and careless, but at times caring and gentle. And as for appearance, he should be “tall, dark, and handsome”, with a look of mystery to him. I like the idea of Clooney, but i think Johnny Depp would be good. After all he is a phenominal actor. He could pull off the mocking cleverness, but maybe hes not tall enough. idk, i guess were lucky that this remake movie thing was just a suggestion from EW.
