Roger, watch your words. Hate Madonna all you like, but don’t you dare spew hate speech on this site. Madonna’s followers are not all “self-hating homosexual crystal meth addicts” as you claim them to be, nor is the “HIV medication hitting the old wrinkly hooker’s fans too much.” That’s hate speech, Roger — and whether or not you really are from Fox News, that’s not cool. Even if all of her fans were drug-addicted HIV+ gays, so what? They are human beings undeserving of your close-minded contempt. So climb down from your pedestal before someone comes and knocks it out from under you. (Namely, me: Just name the time and the place, because I’m really in the mood to kick some conservative ass.)
“To Steve Sun, Oct 14, 2007 at 09:21 PM EST You are either a stalker or a worthless info fanatic. I hope it’s the latter.”
While I appreciate your interest in who I am as a PERSON, the information is readily available via wikipedia.
I simply felt the need to flesh the story out by providing additional details to the ew.com blog readers. I’m glad you enjoyed reading my entry and thrilled it caused such a reaction – here’s a tip from me to you – don’t stress the little things.
Definition of Fanatic – a person with an extreme and uncritical enthusiasm or zeal.
The Top-Earning Musicians
Cracking the U.S. music market is the dream of every would-be pop star, American or otherwise. But there’s no accounting for popular taste in any one country. What’s hot one minute is stone cold over the next. Even platinum-selling recording artists can experience being “in” and “out” and then back “in.” Just ask veteran acts like Mariah Carey or Aerosmith. Many of top earning musicians maximize their earning potential by going out of their way to cultivate a fan base outside the U.S. as well, particularly in Europe and Asia. Madonna, Bon Jovi and Celine Dion aren’t just popular musicians. They’re worldwide pop stars. “Outside of the United States, fans tend to stay loyal much longer,” Castle says. “They aren’t as influenced by the youth culture as we are here.”

James C: I don’t believe someone who works for the Fox network really wrote that message. You are equally hilarious in different ways. Your talk of violence is not cool either.
I’m amazed by the vitriol still hurled at Madonna and the claims that she’s “not relevant” and won’t still be making successful music at 60. People have been saying these things about her since 1992, and they’ve always been wrong. Besides, it’s not like success post-50 for a female artist is unprecedented. Cher had the most successful single of her career (“Believe”) at the age of 54 — five years older than Madonna is now — and then another relatively successful album three years later. Given that Cher has had far more numerous — and deeper — career lows than Madonna, who has a far greater business savvy, what reason is there not to believe Madonna will continue making music successfully? Whether you like the woman is totally irrelevant.
Matthew: Calm down,it’s not that serious. You have a right to like and defend her. You are obviously a fan. She may still be recording at 60, but she is still a stinker- of an -”artist”. There are a few artists that are either of her caliber or worse: Britney Spears, the deceased Tiny Tim-just awful! William Hung-a joke of instant fame. And there are quite a few more but I am not going to go down the list.
Madonna remains the biggest female pop star ever. There cna be noone like her. I dont think she is on the same league as William and Britney. Listen to her music and NOT be overlooked by the occasional and sometimes, necessary controversies. Please please please. We should be proud for having a hardworking and talented woman get what she deserves while she is still alive.
Madonna remains the greatest music video artist of all time! Not Rihanna, not the Spice Girls, not Beyonce, not Bjork, not Janet, not Michael, not Xtina, not Nine Inch Nails, not Garbage, not JLo, not Missy Elliot. MADONNA is the greatest MTV icon!
Confessions on a Dancefloor sold more than 8M copies worldwide. It should have sold 10M by now.
Whether this was the real Roger Friedman or not (from Fox News), you should not print hate messages. There is enough hate going around.
A writer is supposed to be open minded, and not take sides. A writer is supposed to have there facts right. Not say somebody is horrible just because they do not like that individual.
Are you a fan of Mariah? Seems like it. For some strange reason, and probably a stupid reason, Mariah fans hate Madonna, and Madonna fans hate Mariah, but I love them both equally. I pray that they someday work together.
Madonna can’t to be to aggressive with Warner Bros, but i think she’s very very selfish, because if she’s became very very famous is she’s go to bed with all american people.
