Look! It’s Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, and Billy Elliot…together again for the first time! In a movie about the handsome, entitled Hayden Christensen who can teleport around the world, going on picnics, stealing cars, going to the fridge (jeez, how lazy do you have to be to teleport to the fridge?). And then he meets other ”jumpers” like Billy Elliot (yes, I know his real name, I just choose not to use it) — and the bad, bad man who wants to harness their power for… something.
The special effects are cool and all, but I have no idea what this movie’s about. Billy tells Anakin ”Welcome to the war.” What war? Did they throw a war and I missed it? Still, I’ll go come next February, because I like Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith)… but since I’ll get in for free, I don’t count. Would you pay good money to see this movie, based on this trailer?

i’d pay, looks interesting! Special effects seem pretty cool too. Website looks really good and explains the plot.
I’ve had dreams about having this ability – so will I be there? Heck yeah!
Hmm, maybe I would pay money. I’m guessing the war means “us versus them” kinda thing though. The teleporters, if you will, and the people trying to hunt them down. Though you have to wonder who is good and who is evil in the movie cuz it’s a bit ambiguous.
Well, to be fair, Doug Liman is pretty cool. And in between whining about Padme, Hayden Christensen is actually a good actor.
Based on this trailer, no.
Yeah I’d pay to see this movie, looks pretty cool.
Reminds me of Heroes, especially the part about the “war.” I might see it, sure. It’s a beautiful movie, that’s for sure.
I think this movie looks really good, and I’ll definitely go see it.
Fantastic ability!!

I have to admit that the fact that this movie is opening February — when the crappiest movies of the year tend to open — makes me wary.
It’s pretty funny that you refer to the actors by their most famous characters names because whenever I reference “August Rush” to my girlfriend (who is SO not good with actors names) I have to tell her it’s the movie with Felicity, Match Point, Finding Neverland, Hustle and Flow…and Robin Williams.
Also, I like Liman, and hopefully this’ll be at least one movie worth checking out in the February doldrums.
They made a Quantum Leap movie? Huh?
I am so there.
Okay, at least I’ll talk about going even if I end up waiting for the DVD.
Gooooooo Billlllly !!
The book “Jumper” and its sequel “Reflex” were written by Steve Gould…and they’re awesome stories…and like most books, Jumper looks radically different from the movie. Still, I’ll go see the flick…but do read the books…I can’t say enough good about them.
Actually, I think the trailer is intriguing. And I *like* that we have no idea what it’s really about. To some extent, we could say the same about the Little Children trailer of last year, although this trailer isn’t quite at the same level.
I’m seeing it because of Doug Liman. The trailer’s great.
Well, I’m a new mom so I have to be really choosy about what I see in the theatre (can’t afford too many babysitters and I’m not taking my baby to the movies) so I’m afraid I’m going to have to pass based on this trailer. Luckily, my husband runs a store that sells DVDs, so I think I’ll be able to get a copy when it comes out, because it does look semi-interesting.
oooh….. a sci-fi movie with a cool new premise….i am so on it!
JumpER, I don’t even Know Her! Nah, just kidding, it looks okay, i’m not crazy about the Star Wars dewd in it, so I may skip it… looks like i’d be a great late night offering on the Sci-fi channel so I look forward to it then.
2 words, Rachel Bilson!
Oh yeah and theres some crap about teleporting.
Looks like a good action movie, and Anakin and Billy are hot, so….yeah, I’ll go see it.
the special effects alone have got me hooked.
