I think the writers are running out of fresh ideas. It's starting to seem like "same song, different verse".

I like this show because nothing is sacred, Sarah getting killed was predictable because the show is famous for not following the safe route.
It is a gamble on the writers part as they may lose viewers who yearn for romance and feel betrayed,
Linc`s girlfriend getting killed in season 2 was a real suprise to me but after that, nothing suprises me.
I will say, its the most entertaining show since Star trek. It has the same cliffhanger, hook before every commercial that made the original Star Trek addictive.
Its a guilty pleasure,

Here's the problem: I am big PB fan. I have been from the beginning. I like the action and characters enough that I am willing to suspend my belief and go with the crazy plot twists. But lets be honest here: I watch this show mainly for one the sexiest men alive - Wentworth Miller. His scenes with Sarah Callies season one were amazing - their chemistry and the sexual tension just leaped off the screen. Their screen time together last year was brief but poignant and amazing -- that kiss kept me satisfied and happy for weeks! The hope that they might find happiness one day gave Michael's predicament plenty of extra tension. Now Sarah is gone, the hope for the couple is gone and any hope for touching scenes that include Michael are gone. Damn I feel betrayed! A quarter of the audience watch the show like me for Wenty and this plot development just isn't fair.

I have every episode of Prison Break. When I saw Sarah's severed head in the box I knew just how attached I was to her in this story. Sooo adiós Prison Break. My interest has evaporated.

"it is obvious that this show does not value women in its cast or viewers. Sorry to be this way, but as a woman viewer, the forbidden romance was a big part of the appeal of the show for me. The glimmer of hope that these two people could find each other at the end made the darker parts more watchable. " Beautifully said. I felt exactly the same way and this is why I quit watching after one ep this season.

I was bored by the PB season premiere and after reading that Sara would not return, I decided not to watch any more eps. Now, stumbling into this blog, I learn that the writers have killed Sara; this just confirms my wise decision. I hope the show is cancelled before the season ends so that the writers understand they lost a lot of viewers who were invested in Michael and Sara, and saw her as his means to peace and love at the end of this nightmare.

can't I see a little tatoo around the cuff and neckline? How long would that take to apply for the sake of authenticity

Unless the Sara role is recast or unless SWC turns around and signs a contract after all, then Sara's head was in the box and she is dead. I find the fake head idea kind of funny... that Linc just glanced at it and didn't touch it or in any way confirm 100% that it was Sara's head. I know Linc is kind of dumb, but to either mistake a fake head for a real one at a glance or not bothering to examine the head before he buried it, cmon...

Reading that interview with Olmstead on TV Guide, I am appalled that these writers thought that killing her off was the only way to jumpstart this season.
This conclusion is just plain lazy and uninspired writing, and to be honest, they're just trying to avoid litigation when in fact it is so obvious that they couldn't deal with Sarah's pregnancy and maternity leave. I don't blame Sarah for balking at offers for a few episodes, why should I go back to work for bastards who do not think much of my character?

And one more thing - how do we know that Linc doesn't know the head isn't real? 25% chance they show a flashback wherein he finds a note in the box that says "Go along with it - they are listening to everything I say". My money is on the mid-season cliffhanger. Only thing is I don't think they have enough patience to string out the inevitable boot knocking - so this twist will probably be revealed sooner. November sweeps.
