Please start watching 'How I Met Your Mother' before they start putting stuff like this on the air and I go even blinder than I just did

Categories: Television

From the HIMYM website comes a clip which may or may not be NSFW, depending on how much face-licking makes you scream out loud, and how inappropriate screaming out loud is or is not within the context of your workplace. I can’t figure out how to embed the video but if you go HERE and click on "How It Really Happened Part 3," you will be treated to one of the more wonderfully disturbing things I’ve seen in a while. My god, I love this show.

    That was legend-…!
    I love this show too.

  • Kristi

This show is awesome. The Slap Bet episode may be the closest thing to perfect that I have ever seen.

  • TVSlave

This is the best written comedy on tv right now…bar none….and it is sooo twiste…in a good way…..they should put out a dvd of just outtakes!
May this show run to 2030!

  • whimsey

I love this show the way I loved Frasier when it first started. How can they get any funnier – and they do!
Which I guess means they’ll cancel it soon.

  • mike

The first of this season’s episodes have been just ok.
Nothing approaching the genious of last year. I purchased Slap Bet from Itunes to clear space on my DVR.
I don’t think it’s real, but it is thinking outside the box.

  • LisaMama

I’ve been a fan since the beginning. I tuned in originally because it was Willow from Buffy with Doogie Howser, but now I love the whole cast. The slap bet is awesome, and the way that Marshall and Lily can’t live without Ted is priceless.

  • Rose Tyler

Not as good as last season but still one of the best sitcoms out there.

  • Jen

I love this show! I’ve watched it since the first episode. It’s so freakin’ funny!

  • Kari

Love this show….so funny…thanks for pointing this out.

  • Lars

Whitney, as long as they need a laugh track, I can not help the cause. Sorry.

  • Whitney

But Lars… don’t all the classic sitcoms have laugh tracks?

  • Caro

I have never seen anything more awesome than Jason Segal and NPH kissing!

  • Martha

Priceless. Thanks for the tip on the outtakes, Whittles. Looking forward to next week!

  • jason

Very funny stuff. Great hour of TV with Big Bang Theory – too bad it’s up against another great show – Chuck

  • Kristi

    HI…. wait for it… LARIOUS!!
Love love love this show! I could have definitely done without Robin last night though, let’s give her something better or say goodbye! :-)

  • shonuff

    LEGENDARY!!
i’m a little upset that they don’t have belts available for purchase, unlike the office’s fun-run t-shirts.

  • lala1215

Whitney thank you! I avoid CBS like the plague but I just put this in my tivo schedule. Hysterical!!!

  • NineDaves

thank you whitney for giving HIMYM some priase. i’ve been pulling for ted since episode one. i’m doing everything i can to pimp this show out – including wearing my robin sparkles tour t-shirt while listening to “let’s go to the mall” on the subway. please start watching people!

  • Nick

I know it’s not the 90’s or anything, but can we get a HIMYM TV Watch around here? This shnit is some of the funniest scripted, three camera stuff EVER.

  • RobC

I second that HIMYM TV watch suggestion. And if it could be written by Whitney, that would be awesome! Her “Apprentice” TV Watch columns were legendary.

  • kats

“Hat! Hat! We thought of authentic Native American headress but not hat.” My little brother got me hooked on this show and I’m so glad he did.

  • Deena

I love this show but does anyone else think it’s a little weird for fully grown Ted to be telling his kids about a time when he had a threesome? It’s like why would be be telling his kids this?

  • UcantBserious

Deena, I’m with you. This show is well written and the ensemble acting is on par with the all-time great sitcoms, but I do cringe every once in awhile when I remember these are stories being told by a father to his teenage children.

  • Florida Guy

That was an awesome clip… they totally should have played that over the credits as like a blooper lol. This show is so underrated and in a world where new sitcoms are “Caveman.” Oh god.. it’s the light at the end of the tunnel in my week.

  • Alyson

I thought I was the only person who watched this show! I really love the stuff that makes fun of the nineties. The flashbacks about Barney and his baja and his Peace Corps plans were fantastic. It’s so much better than Friends ever was. So much smarter, and without such stupid romantic tension.

  • Derek

Yes! Let’s have Whitney write a weekly TV Watch column! (or at least a mini TV Watch)

  • hutcht

quite simply, the best sitcom-ish show on the air, along with the office, which means it will get canceled while trash like according to jim and raymond stay on the air for decades. viva middle american lack of taste!!!

  • Kathleen

The “Bob Barker is Barney’s Dad” episode was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I love this show so much. I rarely purchase sitcom DVD sets, but this one is high priority on my Amazon wish list.

  • Rese

This is one of my favorite shows on the air… PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a TV watch. I love the entire gang and this show totally fills my Friends void.

  • PoliB

Yay! I freaking love this show. And Whitney also has my vote (times infinity) for a HIMYM TV Watch.
