Which hour-long series will you watch tonight at 9?

Bionicw_lThe biggest primetime TV showdown of the new season begins tonight at 9 p.m. So say the networks’ early tracking polls, which suggest that Grey’s Anatomy spinoff Private Practice (ABC), Hell’s Kitchen spinoff Kitchen Nightmares (Fox), and the remake of Bionic Woman (NBC) are three of the most anticipated new series. Nightmares debuted last week with okay ratings, but tonight it faces off against the premieres of Private and Bionic (pictured, with star Michelle Ryan). (And, yes, this very match-up was featured in one of our recent "Steel Cage" contests.) So, show of hands: which of these series will you be watching when it airs tonight? Which will you record and save for later? Which will you skip altogether?

I plan on taping Private Practice on my tv in the bedroom and watching Gossip Girl at 9. I know, I know, there’s horrible amounts of shame but I can’t help it. I caught the show last week on accident and now I’m hooked. :(

Mondays and Tuesdays are the big showdown nights for me. Tonight is easy: “Bionic Woman.” No recording anything for later.

  • Tamara

I’ll be watching Heroes S1 on DVD (gotta catch up right quick) and recording Bionic Woman.

  • LisaMama

Watching Private Practice alone (my husband can’t stand Gray’s, so he has no interest in it), then we’ll watch the TiVoed Bionic Woman together.

  • AA

Watching Bionic Woman, recording nothing else.

  • Glen

Watchin BW, purchasing KN on iTunes tomorrow. Eff PP.

  • Deb

Only Bionic Woman – don’t care for the other two shows.

  • Waldo Valducci

Definitely Bionic Woman. Anything to do with Grey’s makes me vomit.

  • harmonix

actually used amazon unbox to watch bionic woman (I’ll be interested to see the second ep) so I’ll watch gossip girl and record private practice. We’ll see which I’ll have to dump next week.

Watching Bionic Woman and TiVoing Gossip Girl. No Private Practice, although Addison was my favorite Grey’s Anatomy character. I stopped watching that show after Meredith drowned and came back to life.

  • Horatio

Neither, they are both p*ss poor programs.

  • Working Girl

NO shame in GG, Rachel! That show is en fuego!

I saw Bionic Woman on On Demand, and was very disappointed. We were psyched when we happened onto the NBC preview page and they were showing it. See for yourselves tonight. It is a mess – things happen too fast, the production is shoddy and there was just not nearly enough origin story – (spoiler) within 15 minutes she already has powers and is escaping. I couldn’t help but compare it to Alias’ pilot, which was exciting and tense and totally hooked us. Hopefully this was the reason for all the changes that were made to the management behind BW and the show will get better. On a positive note, we liked Chuck a lot as well as Journeyman – shame the latter is already being bet against.

Lucky for me, I’m in Canada and get to watch Gossip Girl on Tuesday… makes the 9:00 choice simple and easy: Bionic Woman! YAY!

DVR’ing Bionic Woman, watching KN even if it is not as god as the British version.
After watching the pilot last year of Private Practice…I want nothing to do with it. Seriously, another show of ridiculously hot doctors making googly eyes at each other?

  • Jenn

Watching Private Practice live, DVR-ing Gossip Girl (i can’t help it, i was entertained by the 1st ep) and Bionic Woman. I hated the original BW pilot, so i’m hoping this revamped one will be a bit better?

I am planning to watch Gossip girl; it was a great guilty pleasure last week. I will also Tivo Private Practice for my roommate, Grey’s is the only show she watchs. I am planning on trying to catch Bionic Woman when NBC repeats it on Scifi or on the weekends. But who knows if I will keep up with that.

  • Megmamegmeg

Watch Bionic Woman, DVR Kitchen Nightmares, don’t give a F about Private Practice. I agree with Waldo – anything Grey’s-related makes me want to vom

  • Liza

I think I’ll just wash my hair tonight.

  • PAIGE

Watching Bionic Woman even though I’ve already seen the pilot. Katee Sackhoff is awesome!

  • snarky

Will watch PP, DVR KN. Am intruged with BW – have heard it will be on SciFi – may DVR it then.

  • Lizzy

Watching Bionic Woman, but only because of the promise of Katee Sackhoff in this or future episodes.

  • Eric

I’m watching Private Practice and taping, yes I said taping Bionic Woman. They’re reshowing Gossip Girl on Sunday night so I’ll watch that then.

  • A. Campbell

    None.

  • aymzer

Gossip Girl hooked me last week…that is what I will watch. They were smart to start it a week early. I was also one of those people who swore off the CW after canceling VM and letting GG go. I have reluctantly moved on to hating CBS instead, for the debacle that was Big Brother.

Watching Gossip Girl, tivo bionic woman, never watching private practice. Love Tim Daly(Wings!) but Kate Walsh looks like a man.

  • Cece

I saw the premiere of Bionic Woman On Demand, so I’ll be watching Private Practice. Next week, I’m not so sure.

  • Jp

    Gossip Girl!!

  • Sarah

definately watching Bionic Woman and recording Kitchen Nightmares
