LOVED IT!!! I am hooked! Pls let it be a secret good show and get good ratings and not go all OC suckey on us!

  • treee

Dan is WAY the hottest guy there!

I made fun of all my friends in high school who read the gossip girl books because I thought they were lame. I made fun of all my friends who said they were super excited about gossip girl becoming a tv show. I laughed at the previews/ tv spots. but yesterday night, after watching ANTM, I decided to leave the CW on. now i am hooked on gossip girl. definately, my new guilty pleasure.

Was I watching the same show as everyone else? This show was rotten. It didn’t give us anything we haven’t seen before. Gossip Girl was a pathetic attempt by the CW to replace a smart show like Veronica Mars with some crappy adaptation to an already failed TV series.

This definitely needs a TV Watch to replace the VM TV Watch :)

Highly adictive trash-o-rama! Loved it and I’ll be tuning in next week. It goes well after top model.

It’s no OC. Unless one of the mom’s become a Julie….but that Chuck character was SO creepy that I LOOOOVED it. Hopefully it will become a little bit better…
    And Kristen Bell’s voice…deliciously creepy!

Complete and utter trash! And it hooked me dammit! I’ll continue to watch but hate myself for it. Oh well…

It was AWESOME. I never read the books, nor knew there were books. It certainly accounts for the rediculous character names. The parents storyline could get good. Keep them in.
There is a “trashy” factor this show has that 90210 didn’t get until they were well out of college. But it was made up for in the heart of the storyline and the talent of the young actors. They were great.
The party factor is, lets face it, honest. Drugs and alcohol were guests at nearly every party I went to in high school, and we were middle-class midwesterners. I can only imagine how much more intense the scene would be with old, NY money.
Loved it, loved it, loved it. I just hope it doesnt turn real bad real quick, the way the OC did (but did recover well from in season 4 with the permanent addition of the awesome Taylor Townsend… but it was too late after the two prior, awful seasons).

I wish Mathew Settle, rock star Rufus, would find better roles. He is such a good actor. He’s way to good to be on this show.

    TV watch please!
you know everyone who watches it gets hooked.

I was all set up to despise this show with a passion and wouldn’t you know it, I’m completely hooked after last night. When Veronica Mars got cancelled last May, I vowed to hate the CW for all of eternity and never lay eyes on that channel again. However, I kept hearing Kristen Bell’s voice on all the promos, entreating me to check out the show. And though it’s no Veronica Mars in the acting or writing departments, I think it has great potential. The snarky voiceovers are brilliant and I agree with everyone who said it’s like having a piece of VM back. This show is totally guilty pleasure status but I’ll definitely keep watching.

Why oh why did I decide to give this show a shot? I’m hooked. This is going to be my guilty pleasure this season.

I very much love Dan already. he’s witty without being ironic, and normal without being a caricature. I’m rooting for him!
I also loved the sister/brother relationship between Dan and Jenny. realistic, sweet, awesome. and yeah – Chuck is totally creepy.
I agree, Matthew Settle (rocker Dad in this show, Lt. Speirs in past life Band of Brothers) is way too young and hot to be the Dad of two grown up kids… if you ask me. :)
