I *was* drunk because I told my husband that was the only way he would get me to the theater. He then decided that the movie was so bad that he had a few *after* the movie as well. Drunk + DragonWars= still not good.
Funny, but I thought “this looks like a Sci Fi Channel movie like Supervolcano”. Does it have Adam Baldwin in it? It seems he’s in every cheesy sci fi movie of the week, and he’s usually the only part worth watching.
This looked so bad, I’m glad Mr. vera took the bullet for us, even if he wanted to see it. I’m sure there was a point where Vera was like “got to stick through this for the Popwatch crew”. I appreciate it when folks take a bullet for our amusement.
I’ll see this on Sci Fi channel someday, and will probably do shots of tequila every time something really stupid happens (like the bum thing). Got a feeling that night I’ll be passed out by 5 PM…
This is so funny to hear how bad it is because I’m teaching elementary school in Korea right now, and my kids are OBSESSED with this movie! They’ve all seen it multiple times and talk about it constantly.
Of course it was a bad movie! My nephew and I went to see this, he’s 17 and I’m 34 and we both had the BEST.TIME.EVER.!!!! Not because it was such a great movie but because the movie was so awesomely bad, it was great.
Yeah the movie was bad, and the acting. But the action with the Apaches was pretty good. I mean when did a movie have that much fantasy action with modern day technology. It was a good idea but if Bay would have directed it, it would have been awesome.
Yeah the action was ok, but there was way to much screaming dragon stuff at the end. And wait at the end was that one dude stuck in a med evil world? Sucks for him. It kinda reminded me of the fog at the end.
How did a movie like this actualy get into the theaters? It seemed so much like a si-fi channel movie. where did they get money to get such great special affects? If you do go see this at the theaters, get your money back and leave. I was sad when I seen this movie It looked so cool, but is was a major let down. Bummer.
I rather liked it… It had some problems, sure.. but what movie doesn’t? The action was very nice and the end was beautiful. The love story was a bit.. eh.. but the main story involved with the dragons and all was wonderful. I suppose I’m biased, as an old dragon lover. Overall, I enjoyed the movie.

Stun-ko, I rented it, and saved myself some money. Probably should have waited for it to show up on TV. If you were to watch the making of the movie (available on DVD) you would have thought that the director had made a masterpiece. According to him, he got the best sound guy, the best effects guy and the best composer, who all agreed to work for peanuts. I bet they won’t be doing pro-bono work for a while. Don’t waste your time, you saw the best while watching the trailer.
Holy crap, it was awful.
It had some unique elements or moments (the perfected dragon at the end was cool), but, by and large, HORRIFICALLY BAD FILM.
I watched some of the special content on the DVD, and I thought it was interesting to hear about the cultural significance of the film, but that doesn’t make it better. It just makes it more of a freakshow.
Yeah when I saw the commercials I thought it would be an awesome movie to watch. So I planned to buy it but my mom talked me out of it and told me to rent it. So I did and thank God that out of the few times
I listened that time cause I would have been so pissed that I had bought such a crappy movie. Everything about it was horrible. Story line wasn’t all that original. I wanted to jump out my window. Worst movie ever…
