Smoochie’s right about one thing: awards are overrated as sin. I never understood why actors strived to get an Oscar rather than doing it for the love of acting. Personally, it would be nice, but it wouldn’t be my main motivation. Still, at least the Oscars have some shred of respect. The VMAs lost most of it in the past few shows and the remainder of it last Sunday.
Also JT, while I won’t deny that MTV did a lot for the music industry years ago, it’s not the case anymore. I can’t even tell you the last time I watched a music video on MTV (despite my distaste for BET, at least they play videos in the afternoon). Now, it’s just filled with crappy reality TV about spoiled teens I don’t give a rat’s ass about. They’re not helping to turn around the poor state of the music industry at all.

Maybe if Kanye West was as cute as JT, then maybe he would win more awards. I’m tired of his ranting and raving. He sounds like one of those kids who run back home and cry because no one in the sandbox at school will play with him. Plus, he says a lot of ignorant and conceited crap. Maybe if he stayed in college and actually finished, all of the crap he talks about would sound smarter and maybe people would then actually care!
But then again, he still isn’t cute. So there you go.

Both MTV and BET are irrelevant. Reality TV killed the video star! And you wonder why record sales are in a slump. I cannot tell you the last time I actually saw a video on MTV. Kanye is an undeniable talent, and Graduation is the exclamation point on three masterpieces!
As for ‘Ye being a crybaby, listen to his intrerview of NEw York’s Hot 97, and you’ll see he is just protecting his craft and the credibility of popular music.
