le, you’re thinking of the SAGs.
Also memorable: The fact that they snubbed Buffy and Gilmore Girls year after year. Memorable, but NOT good.

i enjoyed the year Lorne Michaels hosted, and the SNL’s “Sweeney Sisters” (Jan Hooks and Nora Dunn) did a medley TV Themes
I also liked the year Jason Alexander and Cybill Shepard hosted, and when they cut to a reaction shot of Cybill for her nomination that year she grabbed a bottle of vodka and started swigging… it was totally planned but still hilarious.
Jason, I agree with the Sweeny Sisters moment. It was brilliant!
I also loved the tribute to Aaron Spelling last year with the reunion of the original Angels. As a kid from the 70′s I thought that was awesome!
The Newhart gag from last year was great. And of course, Newhart played along so well – the look of horror on his face when Conan announced it was priceless. Colbert crying on the shoulder of Jon Stewart because he lost to Manilow was beautiful, considering it was juxtaposed by his rage and indignation.
