What I think is funnier is that this season will have a woman president….Fox is daring us to be wowed by how innovative and timely it is. We get it.

Well, Angela – one of the African American presidents was poisoned, shot at and finally shot in the head and killed, and the other one was blown up by a bomb and put into a coma (twice)- remains to be seen what happens to the woman. But I wouldn’t want to suggest any conservative bias – maybe that’s realism.

Excellent points, Simon. These people are actors, and Keifer Sutherland is a PROUD liberal. Dating myself here, but Carroll O Connor was a liberal too, and he played the ultimate conservative, Archie Bunker. I myself am looking forward to Janeane coming on the show, though I suspect that my mother who is VERY conservative won’t be too happy about it. Is it too much to hope for that Janeane might be replacing Chloe???

Just like Imus before her, I must be living under a rock, because I have no idea who this woman is before now. I guess ignorance will be a good thing, since I have no biases against her when she joins the 24 cast.
And while season 6 was definitely a dud, I have faith the show will bounce back. After all, it had to follow up the excellent season 5, which was an arduous task of its own.
